TRANSCRIPT
We are all about fun, family and
entertainment at the Wow Factory in
Coconut Creek. Check out our movie
pick for kids.
If you are looking for more fun things to do
indoors in South Florida, come and visit us.
For now, let’s take a look at some of our picks for best movies for
kids.
The salty, buttered popcorn, and a chance to kick back and relax at a movie continues to be one of America’s
best amusement. And who are we kidding you, we love movies too! Right now there are some excellent shows
out for kids of all ages to enjoy. We’ve put together our ‘micro-list’ of kids’ movies you can catch whether you
live in Broward or Palm Beach counties. Keep in mind, we aren’t movie critics, but we can tell you that after
seeing these movies what you can expect.
Remember to check in places like Groupon and Living Social for local coupons
and discounts to make your visit at the local cinema more budget friendly. The
other thing to take note of is to reserve your seats and buy online when you’ll be
accompanying large groups like churches, schools and birthday parties. We’ve
also been very happy with the VIP and Club cards to get discounts on future
movies as well.
Kung Fu Panda was a great sequel where Poe meets his lost father. While the
fighting scenes were very minimal, the kids got big laughs and seemed to really
enjoy the movie. We just wished they had made it in 3-D. All in all this movie is
super clean and can be seen by kids of all ages.
The Secret Life of Pets is a real hoot! This movie won’t be out until Summer of 2016
but you can best be sure that this will sell out in most theaters. This movie takes place
in a Manhattan apartment that shows a different side to our fur babies when we leave
our homes. We are looking forward to seeing what happens when Max (a small dog)
when his owner brings home a new buddy named Duke (a big hairy mutt). Either way
this will be a ‘must see’ this summer.
There’s just something about Alvin and the Chipmunks are continuing to give a good
hardy laugh to kids after almost 60 years! It must be their cute, little funny voices that
keep crowds coming back. Their latest release “The Road Trip” will have you and the
grandkids busting a gut for sure. You can’t help but want to get up and dance while
they sing songs like their version of Mark-Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk”. Too
unbelievably cute!
If your kids are into dinosaurs, then you won’t want to miss out on this great flick.
The Good Dinosaur was made by the same people as “Finding Nemo” and is a
Pixar premier work of art. You can count on lots of twists and turns in this fantasy
where a lost dinosaur finds of course, a lost boy! We really enjoyed the colorful
graphics that were delivered like only Disney and Pixar can.
Released just last month, Norm of the North will make you
wish you had a jacket after watching this cute Lionsgate film.
You’ll be sitting on the edge or your igloo anticipating what will
happen to norm (a polar bear) discovers that his land is in
jeopardy by an invasion of humans. There’s even a mention of
our lovely state when the bear pulls up a yard flamingo and
says it’s from Florida. Too funny, really. The bear takes off and
goes to New York City to reclaim the Arctic. Great musical
tracks by our girl Taylor Swift.
Boy and the World are a little more Indy than we were
expecting. This animated is a little hard to follow for the really
young and is appropriately has a spunky soundtrack with a
Brazilian flavor. Cartoonist Saul Steinberg really jazzes it up by
making it big and colorful. The Oscar nominated film is definitely
one for older or mature audiences rated PG.
Last but not least, after the dust has finally settled we were able to see Star Wars.
The epic movie is still a thrill seekers adventure. The sci-fi film has a slightly
different feel, but is almost as exciting as its first release back in the 70’s. In “The
Force Awakens” you’re taken back to a time when that awe inspiring movie came
out when you were a kid. The little itty bitty kids may not be the best to take in this
action packed sequel. So keep in mind that if you can spend the extra cash go 3-D
IMAX, it’s well worth the visual experience.
Here’s the Wow Factory’s List
