Ordering Test Materials Online

• The materials for most assessments are sent to schools automaticallyo Schools will only need to order additional materials (if needed)

Test Security Policies and Procedures


• Inappropriate actions by school or district personnel before, during, or after test administration may result in consequences such as test invalidations and/or loss of teaching certificationo Please carefully read:

Test Security


• All personnel involved in test administration MUST read and sign a Test Administration and Security Agreement

• Test administrators will also be required to sign a Test Administrator Prohibited Activities Agreement indicating that they understand prohibited activities during test administration and possible consequences of inappropriate behavior

• Agreements are now universal to cover all State testing throughout the yearo Keep an organized account of all security agreements

• All tests include a Testing Rules Acknowledgment that reads: “I understand the testing rules that were just read to me. If I do not follow these rules, my test score may be invalidated.” o Prior to testing, students MUST acknowledge the testing rules that the test

If a student refuses to sign:• The test administrator immediately notifies the school assessment

coordinatoro The school assessment coordinator will encourage the student to affirm

• For FSA Computer-based and ALL pencil/paper testingo The school assessment coordinator will document the refusal on the required

documentation and allow the student to test

• For Pearson Computer-based testingo The school assessment coordinator will document the refusal on the required

documentationo The school assessment coordinator will check the acknowledgment box on the

computer and allow the student to test

Testing Rules Acknowledgment


• School personnel MUST ensure that students do not have access to their cell phones or other electronic devices at any time during testing, including breaks (e.g., restroom breaks, lunch), if they will return to complete a test sessiono If a student is found to be in possession of ANY electronic device(s) during

testing OR during a break, his or her test MUST be invalidated

• Students and parents/guardians MUST be made aware of this policy prior to testing

• Electronic devices sign MUST be posted prior to testing where it will be visible to all students

• Electronic Deviceso Test Administrator Prohibited Activities Agreement – “I understand that during

testing I may not: Use my cell phone, check email, grade papers, or engage in other activities that will result in my attention not being on students at all times.”

• During testing a test administrator MUST move around the room and ensure that students are following all procedureso ACTIVE PROCTORING is the rule

• No more than three people should have access to the locked storage room

• Secure materials should never be left unsecured

• Secure materials should not remain in classrooms overnight or be taken off the school’s campus

• Secure materials should never be destroyed (e.g., shredded, thrown in the trash), except for soiled documents (hazardous materials)

during testing, a new seating chart MUST be created

• After testing o schools make and keep copies of all documentation o originals are returned in the district coordinator only box

• Documentation for each administration MUST be kept and retuned separately

• Students whose requirement is the NGSSS Algebra 1 EOC and have not earned a proficient score (or a comparative score) on the Algebra 1 EOC as a requirement for graduation

• Students who will have completed or are completing a tested U.S. History, Biology 1, or Civics course (This may include students who were absent during previous EOC testing or a student completing the full course by other means such as a virtual or a transfer student)

• Students who have not earned a proficient score on the U.S History or Biology 1 EOC as a requirement for scholar diploma designation
