Our one year Level 6 Top Up degrees provide you with the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and skills within your chosen field to meet the current and future demands of your role.

You will study alongside colleagues from other professional contexts, promoting an interactive and meaningful approach to learning and the learning environment.

You will develop skills to influence and improve professional practice within a student-orientated framework.

A range of assessment methods are used including essays, portfolios, case studies, reflective evaluations and independent study.

PRACTICE TOP UP (ONE YEAR):

You will develop your capacity to practice in ways that are collaborative, evidence-based and reflective.

A wide variety of assessment types, including practical assessment, coursework assessment, reflective practice and portfolio work, project work, individual and group presentations, case studies and reports.

BSc (Hons) IN CAMH TOP UP (ONE YEAR):

The Top Up Degree programmes are accredited by the University of Worcester and delivered at selected venues across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset for both and the BAPP in London*.

Both Top Up degrees offer a progression pathway to a full honours degree for anyone who has recently completed a relevant foundation degree equating to 240 credits at Level 4 and 5, for instance, FD Teaching and Learning, FD CAMH, or FD Health and Social Care. It is expected that all applicants will have current experience of working within the relevant professional environments and a valid DBS certificate.

Teaching is delivered by experienced tutors who have specialist knowledge in their professional fields. Students also receive high quality support from an Academic Tutor for the Independent Study module, and Specialism Tutors for the specialism modules.

WHERE CAN A TOP UP DEGREE TAKE ME?

BA PP - This programme provides the perfect platform from which to progress on to post-graduate training programmes, such as Initial Teacher Training (ITT), leading to Qualifying Teacher Status (QTS), or, alternatively a Masters qualification.

BSC CAMH - successful completion of the BSC CAMH will prepare you to work in any setting with children or young people, including education. It may enhance your potential employability, particularly with regard to relevant roles within the CAMH workforce across many professional settings, in both statutory and non-statutory sectors. Alternatively, you may choose to progress in to post-graduate training programmes that support progression within the CAMH career framework. Further study could include therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR or Counselling.
