What is teacher socialization?

TEACHER SOCIALIZATION• The formation of

teaching perspectives and approaches as a result of influence from any individual, group, or institution; sometimes stated as the process of becoming a teacher, or learning to teach.

Roles of Teachers

• To disseminate society culture• To shape positive personality in accordance to the

norms and values of society• To work towards a caring society• To be a social role model for students to observe and

follow• To be social intermediary among teachers, parents,

government officers and the society • To be an intermediary between school and the

society.
