PopCultureComplaintLetterDear Mr. Tang

I want to tell you about what I saw last week.On 15 January after school, I saw some Form 2

students in the Park near Parkview School. They were in their school uniforms. They were damaging property, fighting and smoking. Also they were eating and drinking and they just threw their rubbish on the floor! Then some of the students were smoking and some of the students were talking very loudly.

Some people saw them and told them not to talk loudly and pick up the rubbish but they just laughed at them. Suddenly, there were some other school’s students. I didn’t know what they were doing and they were talking very loudly too. Suddenly they were fighting! They used books, newspaper and chairs. After 5 minutes, they finished their fighting, some students were hurt but they didn’t go to hospital. I was not sure where they went

I don’t know what I can do. I am very scared. I wanted to contact the police. These events happened on 15th January at around 4:30pm. The students were probably in Form 2.

I hope you can help. Thank you.

Yours sincerely,Rachel

Dear Best Buy Supermarket,

I would like to bring your attention to the plastic bag system.

Last time I went there, was “no plastic bags day” the cashier told me that I have to pay for the plastic bag if I don’t have any bags. I was so surprised!

Firstly I want to ask why the particular day was arbitrarily designated like this. Sometimes I think this is insane. “No plastic bags day” means no plastic bags on that day. But you and some other supermarkets make us pay, and so we get plastic bag. Is it good for “No plastic bags day”? You earn the money because of the plastic bags, but you also pollute the world.

Secondly, I suggest that you can tell the customers at the entrance. You can also tell the people who may go shopping on “No plastic bags day”.

Thirdly, I suggest you to offer paper bags. Though paper is not as strong as plastic, it won’t pollute the world so much. Not only paper bags, there are more environmental friendly plastic bags. They are also good for our world.

I hope that you can receive my message, Thank you.

Wishes,Chloe

Sunday, I will go to Mong Kok with my family. We can buy so many things in Mong Kok. For example, clothes, computers and mobile phone. I like to buy clothes. It is because they are cheap and beautiful. We can go shopping all day.

Joey is a singer. She is very good at singing. So many people love her. She is a beautiful young girl. She can get lots of money. She is rich.

Louis Vuitton (LV) is famous for bags. Do you want to have one of the LV bags? This is somebody’s dream because LV bags are expensive. If you want to get a bag, you must spend over 5 thousand dollars.

Gadgets like NDS are very famous. In the MTR, we can see many people playing NDS. NDS is amazing.

A Man Who Was SupermanThis is a South Korean film called ‘A man who was superman’.A man call Lam always thinks of himself as superman so he always

helps people. He tells stories to the children. He helps old women to carry heavy things. He thought of himself as superman from outer space but no one believes that until a woman who works in media meets him. She makes a video about Lam’s life and shows it to the audience. That moment changes his life.

Lam and the woman become friends. One day, the woman finds that Lam has a son and his wife is in the hospital. He escaped from hospital and lived alone until he met that woman.

It is a good film for us. It lets us know so many things. The characters are great too. You should not miss this film.

SpeechWritingGoodbye Mr. Thomson

Hi Everybody, I am Rachel. I know our English teacher Mr. Thomson will leave our school to go back to his hometown in Australia.

When I saw Mr. Thomson first, I was surprised because he was very tall. Mr. Thomson has big and light blue eyes. He always has a nice smile on his face, he always tells us about funny thing and his family. He has a wife and two sons. When he talks about his family, he has a sweet smile on his face. I think Mr. Thomson is a good man and good father.

We like to talk with Mr. Thomson very much. When we have a break, we go to find him on the second floor. When we find him, we talk about ourselves, e.g. my family, our lessons, our funny things etc. If we can’t find him, we wait for the next break. In our lessons, we are very happy. We play games, tell jokes and sing.

Mr. Thomson, we know you will leave our school to go back to your hometown. But why? Why do you need to leave our school? We don’t know. But we know Mr. Thomson does not want to leave our school. Maybe you need to look after your wife and your son.

Mr. Thomson, will you miss us if u go back Australia? Although we don’t know, we know we will miss you very much.

We would like to wish him all the best for the future. We hope that you and your family will be very happy and that you will come back to visit us in Hong Kong. Mr. Thomson, Thank you!

Hello! I am Danny. I know you will leave the school to go back to your hometown in Australia. We will miss you. We don’t want you to go. You teach English very well. You taught us a lot of words. I learn and like English more. Thank you!

The first time I met you I was very surprised. It is because you are so tall and you told us that in your country, Australia, nobody thinks you are that tall. You told us all about where you come from and some funny stories about Hong Kong. You make all of us smile.

For the past four years, I have learnt a lot of English. You want us to read more English story books. I am reading hard. When you go back to your hometown will you find a job as a teacher? If you have free time, will you chat online or phone me?

We miss you. We are sad. The school will be a lonely place. I will miss your voice and your Australian accent when you used to tell me “Stop speaking Cantonese, Danny!” I will never speak Cantonese in English lessons again.

At last, we would like to wish you all the best. We hope that you and your family will be very happy and that you will come back to visit us when you are in Hong Kong.

Thank you! Thank you for your teaching.
