Learned: need complete system• Discovered IP Licensing would not be a viable revenue

source

– Customers want a finished product not fab themselves

• Buying decisions at large corporations (TI, Motorola) are evaluated by engineers, then aggressively negotiated by purchasing department.

• Customers are looking for something smaller, lighter, cheaper.

• While most were impressed by our detector, the majority want an entire system (emitter/detector).

• Our value proposition only provides the detector, so it is only half of a complete system. This severely limits our market size

Learned: need more R&D

• Professors at universities can serve as early adopters of our technology

• Several people have been interested in our technology for gas detection

• We need to partner with other groups to bring such a system to market quickly

• We still need to develop a complete system

Where we go from here

• Recruit full time CEO or Senior Scientist (US citizen or national)

• Apply for SBIR and STTR grants

• Quickly develop a complete THz system

• Demonstrate that the specifications of such a system exceed what is available commercially

• Demonstrate our system for customer’s desired application (chemical detection, imaging, security)
