DALLAS (FWAA) – With their 9-6 win over No. 9 Nebraska, the Texas
A&M Aggies (8-3) are the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl National Team of
the Week for games of the weekend of Nov. 20.
Cyrus Gray ran for 137 yards in his fifth straight 100-yard game and
Randy Bullock's third field goal with 3:02
left in the game provided the margin of
victory for the Aggies. Gray also added a
career-high 65 receiving yards.
Gray became the first Texas A&M running
back to string together five straight 100-yard games since 1990 as the
Aggies have won eight regular-season games for the first time since
2006. Their five-game conference winning streak is the school's longest
since 1996.
"The consequences of winning are the expectations get higher," head
coach Mike Sherman said after the game. "We jumped over another
hurdle and have taken another step. We still have another step to
take."

No. 13 Oklahoma at No. 9 Oklahoma State
As the regular college football season comes to a close, the Big
12 Conference is just getting started. The Oklahoma Sooners
(9-2) will take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys (10-1) under
the lights in Stillwater, Okla. for the annual Bedlam game. The
Cowboys, who are leading the South division by one game,
have surprised many critics by scoring 45.3 points per game
and leading the FBS in total yards of offense with 552 (NCAA).
Cowboy QB Brandon Weeden has thrown for 3,780 yards and
30 touchdowns this season as his team marches toward a
conference title. Oklahoma State has never appeared in the Big
12 Conference title game and the Sooners are hoping to keep it
that way. Oklahoma, which holds the record for most
conference title wins, will hope to extend its seven-game win
streak in the series when the in-state rivals battle for the Bed-
lam Bell on Saturday.
Sooner QB Landry Jones has contributed 3,479 yards to
Oklahoma’s fourth-ranked passing offense (NCAA) and the
Sooner’s average of 36.6 points per game. The Sooners have
won 80 of the 104 games in the series. Another win would send
the them to the Big 12 Conference title game for the eighth
time.
