It is with great pride that we are able to partner with the Tour of the South West and bring this exciting cycling event to the area. We hope that all competitors, family and friends have a wonderful stay and enjoy all that Warrnambool and the Shipwreck Coast have to offer.

Important information for Block 2 ridersRiders in Block 2 will only be able to get to the Recreation Reserve after 7.30am as follows:Drive out along Wangoom Rd until you reach St Marys Rd intersection, turn right travelling along St Marys Rd, then turn left into Wangoom-Allansford Rd. At intersection turn left and proceed to Wangoom Recreation Reserve.

Points for the KOM/QOM will be awarded to the most consistent climber with the most points accumulated from the Stage 1 Road Race.The points system will be:

SPRINT BonusesPoints will be allocated for sprints and thewinners based on the rider who accumulates the most sprint points from stages one & three.

The Criterium stage finish sprint will attractpoints for the Sprint Championship. There will be time bonuses attached to the stage finish and intermediate sprints.

The following time bonuses will be deducted from the general classification following the intermediate sprints and the stage finish sprint:

Where two or more riders make the same time in the general individual time placings, the fractions of a second registered during the individualtime trial shall be added back into the total time to decide the order. If the result is still tied, the placings obtained in each stage shall be added and, as a last resort, the place obtained in the last stage ridden shall be taken into consideration.

TimingTransponders will be issued to riders as part ofthis event. Riders are responsible for returning responders to officials at completion of racing. Lost transponders and/or failure to return the transponder will result in a fine of $70 + GST.If you have a separate time trial bike you will need to transfer your responder to that bike.Live results will be available atwww.myraceresult.com.au.

Spares VehiclesALL riders are reminded to ensure you carry yourown spare(s). There will be no convoy or support vehicles permitted on the course during any of the stages. Should a support vehicle enter the race their supported rider will be immediately disqualified.Race organisation will provide neutral spares vehicles for Masters B, Womens B and Mens C Grades in Block 1 and Mens A, Masters A and Womens A Grades in Block 2. A sag wagon will follow the last rider for major mechanical/physical failures.

During the ITT there will be no neutral RaceSupport provided by the race organisation.

Any rider who suffers an accident or recognised mechanical during the Stage 2 Individual Time Trial and is unable to complete the full distance shallstill be permitted to race the final stage and willbe credited with the same time as the last ranked rider in their respective racing category plus atime penalty. NO personal support vehicles will be permitted to follow riders on the circuit.

During the Criterium an area dedicated for spare wheels will be located on the side of the course.

ParkingStage 1 & 2 Competitor parking will beavailable at the Wangoom Recreation Reserve refer to map on page 7.

Stage 3 Competitor parking will be in SimpsonStreet, Warrnambool. Refer to map on page 11.EmergenciesFor medical emergencies phone 000.

SPECTATOR INFORMATIONParkingStage 1 & 2 Competitor and visitor parkingwill be available at the Wangoom RecreationReserve. Be sure to get your car in prior to7:30am as no vehicles will be allowed withinroad closure areas until the completion of racing.

Alternative all day parking will be available at the Uniting Church car park located in Hughes Road, refer to map on page 7. Visitors utilising this parking facility will be able to access the course and Start/Finish area during the road race via the spectator shuttle bus (see below for details).

Stage 3 Competitor and visitor parking will be in Simpson Street, Warrnambool. Refer to map on page 11.

Spectator Shuttle BusTo provide access to the course the shuttle buswill operate during the road race on Saturday26th April. The bus will collect passengersfrom the CFA car park opposite the Wangoom General Store and from the Wangoom Recreation Reserve and drop passengers off to view the KOM/QOM in Warne Road.The bus will operate on a continuous loopfrom 8am starting at the Wangoom RecreationReserve. This shuttle service will cease atthe conclusion of the road race, with the last departure from the Wangoom Recreation Reserve to the Wangoom General Store at approximately 12:45pm.No bookings required, just enjoy the day in comfort.

These services will be supplied by Warrnambool Sports Practitioner Group.

The Road Race and ITT events take place in the rural township of Wangoom, approximately a15 minute drive from Warrnambool. The circuits provide spectators with a Tour de France style environment.

Once in Wangoom there are three main viewing areas. These are:The Start/Finish LineThe start/finish line is in front of the Wangoom Recreation Reserve. Toilets and a variety of food options plus tea, coffee and cold drinks are available.The Wangoom General StoreAll day parking is available at the Uniting Church in Hughes Road. The Wangoom General store is a short stroll down the road for a perfect placeto sit back, enjoy a coffee and view all the racingaction. BYO chair and brollie for comfort!King & Queen of the Mountain Viewing Area The King / Queen of the Mountain is located in Warne Road. To get you amongst the racing action, the spectator shuttle bus will pick-upfrom the CFA car park opposite the Wangoom General Store and from the start/finish area and drop-off at the KOM/QOM during the road race.

CateringA variety of food options will be available atthe Wangoom Recreation Reserve and the Wangoom General Store during the road race and ITT events. Proudfoots on the River will be serving breakfast, lunch, hot and cold drinks from 7:30am onwards during the Criterium.

The opening stage from Wangoom recreation reserve is a 17km lapping circuit with tough short climbs and likely Warrnambool winds. Each lap contains hill climb and sprint prime. The ride is bound to challenge the skills of all cyclists.
