My names Manel and I m fromCatalonia in Spain. My school is inthe middle of some beautifulcountryside, fifteen kilometres fromthe city where I live. The schoolbuilding is two hundred years old.Before it was only for boys but nowhalf the students are girls. Its quite a big school. Thereare about 1300 students between three and eighteenyears old.Now I am in the third year of Secondary school and Ihave six hours of classes a day, but on Wednesdays Ihave seven hours. We have eight hours of Science aweek, three of History, eight of Languages and twelveof other subjects like Music and Sport.
We start at 8:20 a.m. andwe usually finish at 3:35p.m. In the morning I have ahalf hour break. I also havelunch in the school, from12:30 to 1:45. I really likehaving this t imetable,because it gives me a lot offree time in the afternoon
to do my homework and study for my exams.Sometimes I even have a rest. I can also do extraactivities, like basketball. The school has a gym, four science labs, a library, twodining rooms, three computer rooms, an art room, amusic room and lots of space outside. Theres a reallybig playground for the younger children and there areten basketball courts and a football field.
