2008 – 2009 Teams

Trip costs for the teams include round-trip airfare, lodging (double room occupancy), meals, local transportation, interpreters and incidental land costs. Airfares are based on August 2007 figures and are subject to change at any time. Applications (with deposit, which will be deducted from the total cost of the trip) should be sent in as soon as possible to ensure a spot on the team.

NOVEMBER 2008

November 21 – 30, 2008 Blanket Distribution – India This team will be visiting the street children’s project in Delhi, then traveling to Children’s Hope Center in northern India. There will be daily activities with the 100 children in the Global Action school, sessions for the 55 orphans, evening services in the new church as well as times of interacting with and training the staff. Opportunities for practical work will also be available, joining hands with a team of Indian Christians. There will also be opportunities to encourage people in surrounding villages and distribute blankets to the needy.

November 29 – December 9, 2008 Blanket Distribution – India This team will be visiting the street children’s project in Delhi, then traveling to Children’s Hope Center in northern India. There will be daily activities with the 100 children in the Global Action school, sessions for the 55 orphans, evening services in the new church as well as times of interacting with and training the staff. Opportunities for practical work will also be available, joining hands with a team of Indian Christians. There will also be opportunities to encourage people in surrounding villages and distribute blankets to the needy.

Men and women are needed to serve on this team. There will be opportunities for local ministry as well.

MAY May 16 – 23, 2009 El Salvador This team will be ministering to children at the only Christian school for the deaf in Central America, sharing with the children and encouraging the staff. There will also be opportunities to work in schools in rural, impoverished areas, sharing in the classes, doing activities with the children, and ministering to the staffs. We will also meet with key leaders in San Salvador to learn about various ministry outreaches and participate in prayer ministry.

The camp is situated north of beautiful DehraDun, in the hills 140 miles north of Delhi. We will be joining hands with a team of Indian Global Action staff. Daily camp activities with the children will include any/all of the following: team sports, nature walks/hikes, Bible studies/daily devotions, age-appropriate crafts, group meals, music, singing, drama, cultural dancing, evening bonfires, friendly team competitions, etc.

Most of these children come from poverty-stricken homes, broken families and are in need of a lot of tender love and care. Daily camp activities with the children will include any/all of the following: team sports, nature walks/hikes, Bible studies/daily devotions, age-appropriate crafts, group meals, music, singing, drama, cultural dancing, evening bonfires and friendly team competitions.
