Arrive in London this morning where our representative willgreet you outside the baggage claim area. Enjoy the Englishcountryside as you travel to Salisbury. After lunch and awelcome at Sarum College by Dr. Whitesel, you’ll tour nearbySalisbury Cathedral, home to the best preserved MagnaCarta. With Britain’s tallest spire, the church is a beautifulexample of Early English architecture. Unlike most cathedralsbuilt over several centuries with varying styles, Salisbury’smain cathedral was completed in only 38 years. Return toSarum College for tea, a reception and orientation with Dr.Whitesel. Overnight at Sarum College.

Travel to Warrick Castle in Swanwick. The medieval worldcomes to life as you explore battlements, towers, and theGreat Hall. Untangle the political intrigues of over a thousandyears of history, including how one earl toppled kings. Savorthe fragrance of the Victorian rose garden and the beauty ofthe peacock garden with its strutting peacocks. Exhibitionsfeaturing archery and birds of prey are offered, as well as ademonstration of the world’s largest working siege machineas it catapults a fireball. Following supper at Hayes

Conference Centre, Dr. Whitesel will give an overview ofEnglish history’s influence on Wesley. Overnight at the HayesConference Centre.

Today’s destination is Epworth, where Samuel and SusannaWesley raised their brood of children in the Old Rectory whilehe served the Parish Church for 39 years. As you tour thischildhood home of the Wesleys, Dr. Whitesel will sharefascinating stories to familiarize you with their upbringingand early life. Enjoy lunch at St. Andrews Church beforetouring the church and sharing Communion. Dr. Whitesel willlead a recreation of the famous sermon Wesley gave fromatop his father’s tombstone. Depart St. Andrews and returnto Sarum College, stopping en route for supper (meal is onyour own).

Travel to the university town of Oxford, and tour ChristChurch. After lunch, enjoy a re-creation of a “Holy Club”meeting led by Dr. Whitesel in Lincoln College’s Chapel beforetouring the Wesley Room, preserved to look like the room heused while a professor here. In St. Mary's Church, you'llexperience a re-creation of the sermon "Salvation by Faith"that Wesley once preached here. Enjoy dinner on your ownwith friends before leaving Oxford to return to Sarum Collegefor your overnight.

This morning, tour the Tower of London.Although this historic castle was not originallyintended to be a prison, it once held kings,queens and even religious leaders. See the CrownJewels as well as the Yeoman Wardens, and enjoyhistorical re-enactments. Then board your coachto visit Wesley's House and museum. You caneven briefly stop to pray in Wesley's prayer closet.Then in the Wesley Memorial Chapel sit on thesame benches on which Wesleyans sat to listento Wesley where you will hear historical insightsby Dr. Whitesel on his research into originalWesley writings. Return to overnight in Salisburyat Sarum College.

Today is free for you to spend as you like in themedieval city of Salisbury.

Board the coach for Bristol. As you tour CharlesWesley’s House with a guide from The NewRoom, you can see the parlour, music room,bedroom, study, kitchen and garden. Everythingis arranged exactly as it was when the hymnwriter lived here with his wife Sarah and threechildren. After lunch, tour the New Room andthen enjoy a recreation led by Dr. Whitesel ofJohn Wesley’s famous sermon. Return to SarumCollege for overnight.
