Tour Montparnasse shows its support for the Paris 2024 olympic et paralympic games bid
The Tour Maine-Montparnasse housing complex (EITMM) has teamed up with the Paris 2024 committee to support the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics bid… with a 107-metre-high logo on the façade of the Tour Montparnasse ! To mark the visit to Paris by the Evaluation Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) from 13 to 17 May, the EITMM supported France’s bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics by projecting the “Paris 2024” logo in white on its façade. Parisians and visitors to the capital have been able to admire the 107-metre-high projection spanning the 22nd to 54th floors since 12 May 2017. This profile-raising initiative galvanised support and provided the ICO with proof of the city’s enthusiasm for the bid.
Bernard Lapasset, co-chairman of Paris 2024: “Paris is one of the most famous cities in the world and, year after year, its most popular tourist destination. The Tour Montparnasse is part of our capital’s identity and, by displaying the Paris 2024 logo on its façade, it sends out a strong signal to the IOC of our desire to share our enthusiasm for the Olympics as widely as possible.”
“We are proud that the Tour Montparnasse, a symbol of Paris, in France and abroad, is able to support the Ville de Paris in its bid to host the 2024 Olympic Games,” says Frédéric Lemos, President of the Management Committee of the Tour Maine-Montparnasse.
