Objectives

In this lesson you will be:

• Deciding what locations you want to photograph

Team workers!

Your team will be made of 3 people.

What jobs do you think you will need to assign to different members of your team to make sure all the jobs get done?

Task: Make a list of all the jobs and give each member of the team an equal responsibility to make sure it gets done!

Task 2: Planning ahead

Next lesson, you will be going out of the classroom and taking your photos. We will be moving as a class so the most popular locations will be visited.

This means you might not get to take a photo of a place you want to go to!

Task 2: Make a list of all the places you definitely want to go to during the lesson.

Sharing the load

Now you need to make a list of all the places you need to take pictures of, but will probably not have a chance to go to during the lesson.

Are there any special pictures you would want to get that which would really make your video stand out?

Lesson 2

Leaving class room

Tour of the SchoolObjective:  To take photographs of various locations around the school.

Today we will be going around the school and taking photos using the cameras on our mobile phones.

Our project for this half term is to produce a movie using photos we take and edit.

Please follow these rules• DO NOT take photos of each other or any other student at any

stage.

• Do not disturb other classes, no matter who you see in the room.

• Please be aware of time because we will only be spending about  2 minutes in each location.

• To start the lesson we will be getting into our teams and discussing our plan for today, in particular, where we want to go!

• We are aiming to have fun this lesson and I hope you do.  However, please do not get carried away with excitement!

Team Workers!

If you are not taking pictures, you can do 2 things:

1. Take notes and observations while we walk around. You will need to have text in your movie. What extra bits of information would you like to add?

2. Be a model in the movie! As long as you keep your back to the camera, you may appear in the movie!

Home Learning

• Download the photos from your camera IF YOU CAN.  I will understand if you are unable to do this due to technical reasons.

• Upload the images to the VLE.  You are able to upload more than one image

• Take the last few photographs you didn’t manage to take today!

In today’s lesson, you will be planning out your movie and making decisions on which images to use.

By the end of this lesson, you will have:• Produced a storyboard that will show the layout

of the video. • Thought about the purpose of your video • Thought about how you are going to appeal to

your audience

Note: Everyone in your group needs to produce a storyboard. You will then vote on one storyboard to help make your video.

Think about:• What pictures will be used and when? • Where will you be zooming in /zooming out on each photo.  What is

the focus of the picture? • Will you be putting any text on the screen? • What transitions will be used between pictures? • How long will the shot last?
