Nature Appreciation Tours: Birding and ButterflyingEvery fall, along the Gulf of Mexico, a migration of 25+ species of raptors, passerine and water birds migrate through a narrow flying corridor in Central Veracruz. In a single day, these birds; raptors, passerine and water birds will cross the skies by the millions. Around 730 bird species are known to Veracruz, including over 25 endemics. In addition, butterfly and dragonfly migration is estimated at over one million individuals per day. In early spring and late fall, resident butterflies boom in a myriad of colors and shapes. Veracruz State butterflies are estimated to be around 1750 species. Immersion in the Culture and History of the region : This paradise for nature appreciators is the cradle of the oldest civilization in North America. The cultural side of our tours allows you to explore archeological sites, learn about Veracruz`s rich history and folklore and enjoy fine Mexican cuisine.
