Ensconced within the 400 acres of Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort, this 18-hole championship golf course designed by Ted Parslow, provides the challenger with a stimulating playing experience with the sensitivity to the natural beauty and the character of Sabah. Bordered by the Tambalang and Mengkabong rivers with a stunning vista of Mount Kinabalu in the distance, Dalit Bay is a prime wetland course where water comes into play at every hole.

The fully equipped Pro Shop offers a range of golfing apparels and a selection of premium golf equipment available for rental. The registration desk is located within the shop to allow for one-stop services such as registration and payments.

§ Please send in the application form together with the appropriate booking fee (by cheque or credit card) for confirmation of competition bookings. The booking fee is non-refundable once the confirmation has been made and shall not be offset against any other expenses incurred.

RULES AND REGULATION FOR CORPORATE GOLF

1. Entry 1.1 All the entries must be submitted to the organizer. 1.2 The organizer shall not place any advertisement, notice, poster or whatsoever

inviting entries within DBGCC premises, unless permission given by Club’s management.

2. Draw 2.1 The draw shall be made by the organizer, with indication of each player’s handicap. 2.2 The organizer shall clearly record DBGCC membership number, without which the

green fee will be charged as a non-member. 2.3 The organizer shall forward a copy of the draw / name list to the Golfing Section at

least five (5) working days before the competition in order for preparation of scorecard labels, golf bag tags and other services.

2.4 After the draw, no major changes shall be allowed. Unless authorized by the organizing committee.

4. Reporting Time 4.1 Time Sheet Start : All players shall report to the starter 10 minutes

before the starting time. 4.2 Shotgun start : All players shall be positioned at their respective

starting hole 15 minutes before the start time.

5. Tee-Box 5.1 Available Tee-Box:

Male : Black / Blue / White Ladies : Red

6. Handicap 6.1 The organizer shall ensure that all the participants are capable of playing in

accordance with the Rule of Golf and completing a round of 18 holes in accordance with the Pace of Play.

6.2 A maximum handicap for men and ladies will be fixed at the discretion of the management depending on the course and the formats of play.

7. Pace of Play 7.1 Maximum time of 18 holes play is 4 hours and 30 minutes (average 4 hours 15

minutes). 7.2 The organizer shall ensure that the attached Pace of Play guideline shall be

observed by each player in order to avoid undue delay and slow play.

8. Restriction 8.1 DBGCC reserve the right to stop a player to continue his/her play in the event of

his/her failure of (6), (7) and/or (11) hereof.

9. Buggy Damages 9.1 The organizer shall check and report any damage upon taking delivery of any golf

buggies. 9.2 The organizer shall accept liability for any damages to the buggies and the repair

costs.

10. Indemnity 10.1 The organizer accepts and agrees that DBGCC shall not accept liability or

responsibility for any injury, death and/or damage caused or attributable to causes beyond the control of the Club (including but not limited to terrorist acts). DBGCC specifically disclaims any liability for personal injury, death and/or property loss and/or damage to all relevant persons and their respective properties caused or attributable to causes beyond the control of the Club (including a terrorist act or acts) or for any disruption to access to the Club or its premises or facilities or any closure of the same time.

11. Registration 11.1 Each player must sign in upon registration and scorecard will be issued. 11.2 The organizer is responsible for giving away goodies bags during the event.

12. Locker Key 12.1 A locker key will be issued during the registration process. After use, the player

shall return the locker key. 12.2 A charge of RM40 shall be levied to the players who lose the locker key. 12.3 The organizer shall accept liability for payment of the lost key’s in the event that

the player refuses to pay.

13 Dress Code 13.1 DBGCC has fixed dress code which shall be strictly observed at our golf courses

and practice area.

14 Course Closure 14.1 The course shall be declared closed if it is considered unplayable due to inclement

weather or any other reasons at the discretion of the Management. 14.2 In the event of the closure of the course, there will be no refund / reduction in

the amount of booking fee, administration fee, green fee and marker fee paid or payable.

14.3 The course shall be closed at 1930 hours irrespective of whether all the players complete the round or competition. Any subsequent play or usage of any part of the courses or the driving range is strictly prohibited.

15 Mode of Payment and Amendment Payment Date

RM 2000

Upon signing of the contract, any cancellation done within a month of original date shall cause the deposit to be forfeited. The fee is transferable if the event is postponed and advised one (1) month prior to the original date.

One month prior to the event. Must update on the latest minimum guarantee for the tournament. A maximum of 20% reduction can be allowed without penalty.

50% Deposit

Two weeks before the event base on updated minimum guaranteed attendance. 10% Reduction can be allowed without penalty.

Full Payment and all other incidentals

On tournament day, and based on the guaranteed number of attendees and pre-arranged meals. No Show shall be charged at full price.

• For client with credit line, an approved Letter of Undertaking is required and to be submitted two weeks before the cut-off date.

16 Cancellation 16.1 Cancellation of Tournament

• In the event that the above is cancelled within 7 days prior will result in a 100% charge as liquidated damages of the applicable agreed rate multiplied by the total flights blocked, as well as 30% of the cost of all the organized meals and activities.

• All cheques are made payable to Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club Berhad. 16.2 Force Majeure

• The performance of this agreement by either party is subject to the acts of God, war, government regulations, disaster, fire, strikes, civil disorder, or other similar cause or threat thereof beyond the abilities of the parties, making it inadvisable, illegal, or impossible to perform to the terms of the contract, hold the event, or provide the facility. This agreement may be terminated or revised for any of the reasons without liability by written notice from one party to the other.

17 Others 17.1 There will be strictly no spectators permitted on the Golf Course. 17.2 DBGCC reserves the right from time to revise all the charges, terms and

conditions of competition without prior notice. 17.3 The courses are offered on the understanding that routine or extensive

maintenance works may be carried out from time to time at the discretion of the management.

CLUB RULES AND INFORMATION

1. Banners / Signboards 1.1 Banners and Sign-boards to be placed in the Club premises must have the prior

approval of DBGCC’s Management. 1.2 The organizer shall be responsible for the installation of the banners / sign-boards

before the competition and removal of the same immediately after the competition without damaging the Club’s property.

1.3 No nails, staples or screws shall be used at any parts of the premises of the Club. 1.4 No sticking of materials with masking tape / double-sided tape etc. to any surfaces

of the Club premises. 1.5 Minimum 2 banners on the course without charge. Additional banner at a charge of

RM20 net per banner.

2. Hole-In-One 2.1 Prize of car(s) may be displayed. The organizer shall liaise with the Golfing Section

for prior permission and arrangement. 2.2 The Club shall not be liable for any damage to the car(s). 2.3 Hole location of each hole shall be decided between the organizer and Club’s

representative.

3. Storage Of Prizes / Goodies Bags 3.1 A storeroom can be made available upon request and subject to availability. The

organizer is allowed to bring in the items one day in advance during off-peak hours. 3.2 Due to our limited storage area, balance of items must be collected within three (3)

working days after the event.
