E-WALLETS : MAKING THE SHIFT…

First time users: more attracted to promotions

and rewards, however 68% of users ranked

CONVENIENCE over others.

RELEVANCE: more Use Cases and functionality

attracts users; for example having the most

extensive Biller list in the e-Wallet e.g. Zakat,

Utilities, Municipals/Local Councils etc.

INCENTIVES : BoostUp Loyalty Boost continues to

reward its Users – 15x growth in Level 4 users since

Nov’19 with over RM1mill gifts to date.

With the MCO in force, many

speculate that usage of e-wallets is

high due to the multitude of

promotions and deals the various e-

wallet providers have been handing

out. Which begs the question:

“Would consumers continue to

use e-wallets if there are no

incentives given?”
