COME AND CELEBRATE! 9:30: Poker Run. $10 per driver or passenger. $5 for additional hand. Start at Casa Blanca Park. 11:00: 4th of July Parade. Line-up at 10:45 at the school. The parade will proceed down Broadway, 2nd Street, and Worth to Casa Blanca Park. All residents and groups are invited to enter the parade. If you have a Chihuahua, join the Chihuahua entry to show off your dog. The first 40 participants will be given a free leash. 1:00- 9:00 pm: Entertainment and vendors at Casa Blanca Park • Live music by Giovanni, Candace Vargas & Northern 505, and Tino y Su Marka Nortena. • Activities for kids • Cars on display by the Arreglados • Food and craft vendors. Local cooks and artisans welcome. o Sign up at Town Hall. $25 fee. • Beer garden. • No outside food or drink will be allowed. 9:30 pm. Fireworks at Community Park KYDN 95.3 will be broadcasting live on the radio from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. Thanks to Danika for this coverage. We also thank Rainbow's Inn, Stone Farm Supply, K & J Market, High Velocity, Graphics, and Richie Barela for donations for the celebration. We would appreciate help during the festivities. If you have any amount of time to give, please contact Town Hall. Security will be provided throughout the day. 2018 AUDIT COMPLETED ON TIME The Town Board received and approved the audit for 2018 at the June 25 meeting. Jessica of Wall, Smith, and Bateman expressed her appreciation for the cooperation of our Town employees and noted the progress the Town of Center is making in our financial system. Kudos to the Town employees and thanks, Jessica. BASEBALL FIELD READY FOR ACTION The baseball field at Community Park is looking good and meets all regulations. RMMP of Alamosa did a great job of restoring our field for play after 2 years of disuse. Funding for this project came from Center's Conservation Trust Fund. We are pleased that the field is again available for use by the community.

DENTALCLINICFUNDED ThedentalclinicplannedforthepreviousKingdomHalllocationat1356thStreetismovingclosertoreality.A$600,000grantwasreceivedfortherenovationbyValleyWideHealthServices.TheTownofCenteristhepass-throughagencyforthisgrant.Center'spartnershipwithValleyWidewillleadtothenewdentalclinicwithexpandedservices.

CENTER'SSTREETPAVINGONHOLDTILLNEXTYEARThewatermeterprojectwasslatedtobeunderwaybynow,butduetoadelayinfunding,itwon'tbestarteduntilmidJuly.Theprojectrequiresthatourstreetsbecutforinstallationofthemeters.

Soooo,streetpavingwillbeputoffuntilnextyeartoavoidcuttingintobrandnewstreets.We'lllookforwardtonewstreetsin2020.
