• Toyota “fixed” the problem by trimming the pedals.
• The problem continued.

• Toyota replaced a metal plate to reduce friction on the breaks.
• Moved a sensor closer to its target.
• Problem still occurring.

• Koua Fong Lee’s 1996 Toyota smashed into two cars and killed 3 people.
• He is now in jail for 8 years.
• 1996 Cars are not part of the recall but there is reasonable evidence that they are effected.

What should be done
• Toyota should give replacement cars to owners of their cars while they fix the problem for good.
