Making the flashcards1. Create a

presentation in Powerpoint or Keynote (this will take the most time)

• TIPS FOR CREATING:• Use an easy to read font,

nothing fancy. Good choices are Verdana, Arial, Comic Sans, Tahoma.

• Try to keep font size at 48 or higher.

• Keep backgrounds simple.• Information should be

simple, and to the point.

2. SAVING & CONVERTING TOFLASHCARDS

POWERPOINT USERS: Click File>Save As. In the “Save as type” or “Format” drop-down

box, select JPEG. Select location to save. Choose Every Slide when prompted. Open folder where slides were saved. Renumber the first 9 slides by putting a “0” in

front of the number.

2. SAVING & CONVERTING TOFLASHCARDS

KEYNOTE USERS: Click File>Export. At top of window that appears click on Images.

Be sure the All button is selected. Select JPG (variable quality) from the “format”

drop-box. Click Next. Name your set of cards in the “Save As” box and

select the folder where you want them saved. Click Export.

3. Create a .zip File

• So that you can post these on your website, you need to create a .zip file.

• A .zip file acts like a file folder. It contains more than one file that has been compressed to reduce the file size. This allows users to download a single file (that contains multiple other files) instead of having to download each file.

How to create a .zip file

• PC USERS:• Right-click the folder

containing the flash card images.

• Select Send To>Compressed (zipped) folder

• Mac Users:• Control-click the

folder containing the flash card images.

• Select Create Archive of “file name”

Syncing & Viewing

• Open iTunes and connect iPod to computer.

• Click Photos tab.• Select location of the

folder with your flashcards.

• Click Sync photos from: (choose file)

• Click Sync.

• To view, select Photos from iPod’s main menu.

• View cards by using the scroll wheel
