G.S.R (E). The following draft of certain rules further to amend the AmmoniumNitrate Rules, 2012, which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powersconferred by section 5 of the Explosives Act, 1884 (4 of 1884) is hereby published as required bysub-section (1) of section 18 of the said Act for information of all persons likely to be affectedthereby; and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules shall be taken into consideration after theexpiry of a period of seven days from the date on which the copies of the Gazette of India containingthis notification are made available to the public;

Notification

The objection or suggestion received from any person with respect to the said draft rules before the"expiry of the aforesaid period wi II be considered by the Central Government. -

Draft Rules

I. (1) These rules may be called the Ammonium itrate (Amendment) Rules,2014.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the OfficialGazette.

2. In the Ammonium Nitrate Rules. 2012, in rule 5. after the proviso, the followingproviso shall be inserted, namely:-

"Provided further that all the existing manufacturers. converters. users. transporters,stevedores, sellers, possessors. importers and exporters shall comply with the provisionsof sub-rules (1) and (2) of rule 22 from the 31" day of August.Zt) 1-1".
