ICT & MobilityNew concepts around mobility.
1. Transportation Modes 2. Interconnectivity 3. Data and Security Apart from
improvement of traditional transport
modes, we´ll see new ways of
transportation. This ranges from (unmanned)
areal vehicles to futuristic hyper loop. E-
mobility will open to new ways and times
for logistics.
Transportation manufacturers and
traditional transportation
providers become intermodal mobility
providers. Railway companies offer car- and bike
sharing, car manufacturers invest in peer-to-peer car sharing models, and smart sensors enable
smart parking solutions contributing
to sustainability (-30% of city traffic
emissions).
Thanks to real-time data transportation
becomes more secure. Cars react
automatically on happenings around the traffic, send real time
analytics for predictive
maintenance, and measure the vitality (e.g. driver´s blood
pressure through the steering wheel). On
the other hand, connected transport modes have a high
need for data protection, making them vulnerable to
hacking.
