You do not need any experience of driving boats as full instructions on driving, safety and route brief is given prior to launch. We run two rental routes. Route 1 the circumnavigation of Cardi� Bay or route 2 this longer route will also give you the opportunity to travel up the River Ta� as far as the Millennium Stadium as part of your circumnavigation of the Bay. Due to Cardi� Harbour Authority legislation boats must adhere to routes.

THE BOATThe boats available to hirefrom the Boathouse are the Dutch built Whaly 370 & 435 these boats are extremely safe and durable. Made from 100% polyethylene, making them strong, impact resistant, unsinkable and 100% recyclable. These boats have unique design and structure o� ering excellent comfort and stability. The boat is powered gently by a 8 horse power, EU emission friendly engine, running on unleaded fuel.

SAFETYNo quali� cation or license is required when hiring out our boats. The Boathouse will give a full safety and operating instruction prior to the launch of these easy to drive boats to ensure the safety of all onboard. Our boats are limited to 5 knots (approx. 6mph) which is the maximum speed limit on the River Ta� , which also lets you enjoy a nice leisurely and safe trip out on the Bay.
