On November 29th, Sharon and I attended Alberta Chambers of Commerce Fall Conference & Deputy Ministers Dinner in Edmonton.We had an Alberta Labour Law Update from a business point of view, and a presentation from Laura Kilcrease, CEO of Alberta Innovates, regarding all the opportunities which are available for entrepreneurs and agriculture value-add endeavors.The noon hour media panel with Graham Thompson, Ryan Jespersen, Emma Graney and Tom Vernon was very candid and lively. They each shared their views on the current state of parliament, the upcoming election, trade, carbon tax, and of course the pipeline issue. The Q & A period following the Deputy Minister’s Dinner didn’t offer any solutions or answers to the questions asked by attendees, but there were some constructive take-aways for both Politicians and guests.The most important conversation revolved around the Alberta Chambers of Commerce (ACC) Vote Prosperity, a platform and campaign outlining the Alberta business community’s priorities for the upcoming 2019 provincial election. Vote Prosperity provides a series of proactive recommendations that all of Alberta’s political parties should adopt to ensure growth for the
