What is Trademark ?A Trade mark is a visual

representation attached to the goods for the purpose of

indicating their trade origin

Type web address https://ipindiaonline.gov.in/trademarkfiling/users/frmlogin.aspxand fill required details if registered user if not please referred

series “001” of Author



Enter ID & Password as Shown in Image



Welcome Note Appear with your registered name and status whether –Attorney/Agent/ Proprietor



Click On “New Application” tab for Indian application at left side of Screen, for international Application please

refer Author Series “004”



Click On TM-1,tab at the left side ,leads to opening of Screen with Below information, enter class detail

as per the working of Business



Class detail, can be check by clicking on “See Class Detail” tab, Please be Specific for class of Goods and services as wrong classification leads

to rejection of Application.



After entering class detail a dialog box will appear mentioning temporary application number



Then Click on tab “Update Application” where drafted applications are listed and select application, like in our case “867422” as in below image, for understanding

further practical issue associated with trademark registration



After Selection, a detail “TM-1” Form will open mentioning tab of “Agent/Attorney”, Trademark Detail “ etc as you can see in below image.



When we select the State of the applicant, State of Jurisdiction will automatically be selected, like-

New Delhi/Mumbai/Ahmedabad/Chennai/Kolkata





After providing all required information, click on tab “Attach Documents” for uploading documents required for the trademark

Registration.

Please Select Preview tab to cross check details entered are correct or not.
