ACCOMPLISH.
TheWomen-to-Work (W2W)project aims toprovideEgyptianwomenwith theknowledgeandskills theyneed to unlock opportunities and achieve their fulleconomic potential. Launched in 2014, W2W is anationwide project developed and implemented bythe Women Business Development Centre (WBDC)under the auspices of the National Council forWomen (NCW) as part of the national “Training forEmployment”initiative.
OUR APPROACH W2WoffersauniqueservicebybringingtogethertheNCW’sformidablegrassrootsnetworkwithpublic,privateandnon-governmentalpartnerstoprovidea transformative trainingexperience forwomenalloverEgypt.The trainingofferedbyW2Waimsnotonlytoenhancewomen’svocational,technicalandentrepreneurialskillsbutalsotoequipthemwiththeknowledgeandlifeskillsnecessarytoidentify,createandnurturetheirownopportunities,whetherbystartingtheirownbusinessorbybecomingactive,engagedmembersoftheircommunities.
W2W has developed a series of innovativemodules that can be adaptedto address distinct needs within each community and target group. Weencourage knowledge-based learning designed to build on participants’existingskillsandexpandtheirhorizonofopportunity.
With a roster of specialized partner organizations all over Egypt and thesupportof theNCW’s26governoratebranchoffices, theW2Wprogram isstrategicallyplaced tomatchcommunityneedswith trainingprovidersandtodesignanddeliverflexible,tailoredpackageswithmaximumefficiencyandimpact.

HOW WE DESIGN OUR PROGRAMSW2Wstandsoutinthetrainingdeliveryfieldintermsofresponsivenessandflexibility.Weprideourselves inconsistentlystriving tocreateaproductivelearningenvironmentthatmeetstheneedsofourdiverseclientsandpartners.Trainingprogramscanbeconceivedinseveraldifferentways:
• Grass-roots organizations or community development associationsidentifytrainingneedswithintheircommunitiesandsubmitproposalsviathelocalNCWofficeortotheW2Wprogramdirectly.
• GovernmentagenciesandnationalNGOsidentifybroad-basedneedsandapproachW2Wtorollout trainingprogramsacrossthecountrycapitalizingonW2W’sreach,experienceandnation-wideaccess.
• Private sector companies seeking to expand their corporate socialresponsibility (CSR) activities approach W2W to develop anddeliver innovative training opportunities that integrate private sectorexperiencewithdevelopmentneeds.
W2W then marries the most appropriate training service provider withpotential training recipientand learningmodule,adaptingdeliverymethodsandcoursespecificationstosuittheuniqueconditionsofeachcaseandtoensurelearningoutcomesarefulfilled.

PRIVATE SECTOR ENTITIESManyprivatesectorentitiesandcorporationshaveinitiatedCSRprograms.W2W’s collaboration with Microsoft on the highly successful SocialInnovationHubdemonstratesthesynergypossiblewhenpublicandprivatesectorpartnerssharethesamedevelopmentvision.
GOVERNMENT AGENCIESW2W liaiseswithmanygovernmententitiesbothatanationalanda localgovernment levelprovidingavital linkbetweengovernmentagencies,civilsociety and the private sector and ensuring seamless implementation oftrainingprograms.
