Intro to HEALTHeLINK
HEALTHeLINK, the Western New York Clinical Information Exchange (WNYCIE), is a Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO)
It is is a collaborative effort among physician, hospital, and insurance organizations to share clinical information in efficient and meaningful ways to:
– Improve the delivery of care
– Enhance clinical outcomes
– Help control healthcare costs throughout the region
Intro to HEALTHeLINK
HEALTHeLINK is a not-for-profit organization established through funding from:
– The Catholic Health System
– Independent Health Association
– Erie County Medical Center Corporation
– Kaleida Health
– HealthNow New York (BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York)
– Roswell Park Cancer Institute
– Univera Healthcare
– NYS grants
HEALTHeLINK Software
Allows providers to view, print and track Clinical Results (labs, radiology, transcription) through the Inbox
– Data Sources currently sending to the Exchange:
– The Catholic Health System
– Kaleida Health
– ECMCC (ADTs only)
Gives physicians the ability to pull results for new patients or emergency situations
Includes an electronic prescription component
