Google Drive & Working with Google Apps: Google Drive offers unlimited storage to users of G Suite for Education and in this course, we start to explore and make use of some of its features and built in applications. The course covers Google Drive layout, how to create and share folders, documents and files. Delegates learn how to access Google’s free apps suite and we start to create and share documents and presentations. We will create and work on a single document and demonstrate creative writing and peer assessment. You will be able to access Google Drive from your own tablet or laptop and see how easy it is to share and work on a single document between different devices. Time permitting we will look at moving documents and files from a pen drive to Google Drive and how to install and use Google’s desktop app. We will also take a quick look at Google Photo’s and start to work with the new Google Sites. Introduction to G Suite for Education: Designed for the complete novice who is interested in knowing more about G Suite for Education, or is planning to introduce it into their school. The course is also ideal for those schools who are already using G Suite but feel they are not getting the best out of it or don’t know how to move forward. The course takes the delegate from knowing nothing right through to logging in and customising Gmail including an overview of Google Drive. You will be taken through the first lesson used to introduce G Suite to any year group from 3 to 6. This is very much a “hands on” course and all delegates will have a temporary live G Suite for Education account. Facilitator: First Ediction/2010IT John Goodier
