talkingaboutthecoffee.There’sbeen,Ithinkit’sfairtosaythatBritsareslightlymoreskepticalthanAmericansingeneral,andtherehasbeensomeskepticism.Isthatfairtosayingeneral?We’reslightlylesswillingtoadoptthings.Therehasbeensomeskepticisminthepress,TheGuardiansaidittastedbitterandoily,butthere’salotofpeopleherewholoveitaswell.Isthereasensethatthisisnowalmostbecomingmainstreamdoyouthink?

Dave: Kidsbenefitfromafewmorecarbsthanadults.Idon’tgivemykidscarbs,Idon’tgivethemanycarbsinthemorningespeciallyfruitbecauseitturnsthemintowhiny,crankypants.Theygetproteinandfatinthemorning,andcucumberiftheywantsomeveggies.Atlunch,theymayormaynothaveBulletproofstylecarbs,notsugarythings.Thanatdinner,thereisusuallycarbs.Timingseemstomatter,andthisreallyaffectstheirbehavior.TheyeachtogetanespressocupfullofBulletproofcoffeemadewithlotsofBrainOctaneandsomecollagen,andthatreallyhelpsthemstaycalmandfocusedbecausetheirlittlemeatoperatingsystemswhichsay,“Eateverything,especiallyifit’ssugar,”theyshutthehellupandthenthekidscanfocusonbeingkidsandplayingandnothittingeachotherandthingslikethat.That’sabigbenefit.

forvariety,avocadoscanbereallygood,andthere’satonofthingsyoucandowithvegetablesandyoureallywanttoworkvegetablesin.Ifit’sfats,goodbuttheprototypemealfortheBulletproofDietiscoveraplateandvegetables,addamoderateamountofhigh-qualityproteinfromanimals,andthencoveritinfat.Ifyouskiptheveggies,itdoesn’tworkaswell.Ifyourkids…Themagicissteamtheveggies,takeathirdoftheveggies,tossthemintheblender,butter,BrainOctane,collagenifyouwant,alittlebitofvinegarandsomespices,whateveryouwantwanttoteachthemtolikelaterinlife,andsomesalt.Blendthecrapoutofituntilit’screamyandreallygood,andthenspoonitbackovertheveggies.Evenkidswhodon’teatvegetablesthatcometovisitourhouse,theytakeonebiteofthatandthey’relike,“Givememore.”Thatbecomesoneoftheprimarythingsontheirplate,andthenyoucanaddinwhatevertheproteinis.You’llfindthatkidsthriveonthatbecausetheygetwaymorefatinthatway,anditgetsthemtogettheirveggiesineveryday.
