TRANSDUCERS

Current and voltage transducers are applied for the measurement of sinusoidal alternating

currents (Nominal-input current from 0,05 to 20A) and alternating voltages (Nominal input

voltages from 200 to 690 V). For higher currents or voltages transformers have to be con-

nected before. All transducers are able to snap on DIN rails.

Description

This transducer is applied for measuring active and reactive power of sinu-

soidal current at a frequency of 50-60Hz. They can be directly connected to

rated input currents of 0,1 to 20A and to rated input voltages of 50 to 720

V. At higher currents and/or voltages they must be preceeded by AC measu-

rement transformers.

An auxiliary voltage supply always is required. If the measurement circuit vol-

tage does not vary more than ±10% this can be used as an auxiliary energy

supply. In this case with client specification an internal connection between

measurement voltage and auxiliary voltage contacts will be carried out.

FMode of operation

Current and voltage are galvanically insulated (5.2kV/1min), multiplied, in-

tegrated and converted into an output signal (current or voltage) linearly

proportional to the active or reactive power. The addition of letter "L" in

their denomination indicates a live-zero output signal (e.g. 4-20mA).

TRANSDUCERS FOR PHASE ANGLE

Life-zero StandardOutput Output

Transducers for phase angle (COS φ)

• Class 0,5

• For mounting on DIN rail (DIN EN 50 022)

Description

The transducers Phwd-MU is used to convert and isolate the phase angle bet-

ween current and voltage of an AC and three-phase mains of balanced load

into a load-independent direct-current and direct voltage signal.

Conformity

This equipment conforms to the requirements of the Directive from the Council

of the European Community on the harmonisation of the member states re-

garding electromagnetic compatibility, EMC Directive 2004/108/EC, as

well as Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC.

Application

The measuring transducer Phwd-MU serve to convert and isolate the phase

angle between current and voltage of an AC and three-phase mains of ba-

lanced load into a load-independent direct-current and direct-voltage signal.

Function

The quantities to be measured will get via internal current transformers and

voltage divider to the null comparator. At the null comparator there is a rec-

tangular signal which is directly connected with the phase angle. A subse-

quent integrating step forms the direct-voltage mean value. This direct voltage

will be converted into a load-independent direct current and into an impres-

sed direct voltage. The galvanic separation between input and output signals

is effected by means of an optocoupler. The secondary amplifiers will supply

the load- independent direct current and direct-voltage signals. Both outputs

are no-load resistant and short-circuit proof. Any connection between both

outputs will be unacceptable. An auxiliary voltage will be required.

Application

The transducers are to be applied for the measurement of alternating currents

(Nominal input currents 1 or 5 A).

Mode of operation

The input value is being galvanically insulated (5 kV / 1 min), rectified (ave-

raging) and transformed into a proportional, graven direct current.

The CIR doesn’t require any auxiliary supply. The type CIR/I is active (Output

4...20 mA) and requires some auxiliary supply of 230V AC or 24V DC.

Design

The small design of measuring converts with a width of only 22,5 mm is reali-

zed , as well, by a precise selection of components, as by a precise coordi-

nation of components and circuits, geared to power requirements and

warming. The low power loss allows mounting of any quantity of transducers

side by side, within the operating temperature range, without need to consi-

der of minimum distances.

TRANSDUCERS FOR FREQUENCY

Description

The transducer series CFRNV are to be applied for measuring frequencies in

a range 40 to 70Hz (to be specified). Rated input voltages are from 50 to

720V. The dynamic range goes from 20 to 120%

Mode of operation

The input value is being galvanically insulated (5kV/1min), a frequency

proportional value is calculated and this is converted into a proportional

and load-independent DC current (or DC voltage). Auxiliary supply is re-

quired, standard 24VDC or 230VAC.

Characteristic line

f1 = lower measuring frequency(can’t be used for the determination oferror limit).

f2 = upper measuring frequency (final value of measuring range for deter-mination of the error limit).

LIMIT RELAY

Description

The electronical limit value relay type GWR is applied to control direct current

or alternating current as well as direct voltage or alternating voltage. The AC

variables of any curve shape are measured as r.m.s values.

Conformity

This equipment conforms to the requirements of the Directive from the Council

of the European Community on the harmonisation of the member states re-

garding electromagnetic compatibility, EMC Directive 2004/108/EC, as

well as Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC.

Application

The limiting values are adjustable in steps of 1 % by means of coding swit-

ches. The delay in response as well as closed-circuit and open-circuit current

principles can be selected. The instantaneous switching condition of the out-

put relay is indicated by means of light-emitting diodes. The limit value relays

are installed in a housing of 22,5 mm of breadth and can be mounted on

DIN-rail. They are extremely solid and do not dispose of any mechanically

movable parts except the output relay. Thus they are very suitable for hard

operating conditions.

UNIVERSAL ISOLATING AMPLIFIER

Application

The universal isolating amplifier DTVU20 is applied for transforming standard

signals. It can be used in complex measuring and control circuits, process

data acquisition systems, data-loggers and multiplex. In remote control sy-

stems detectors and sensors, which are connected on central points by long

leads, can be isolated.

Selection of input-ranges is made by the frontside-switch at the DTVU20. The

different outputs are selected by connecting to the relevant clamps. Input, au-

xiliary and output are galvanic separated (3-way-separation). Isolation-vol-

tage is 2kV. The DTVU20 can work with input of 0-10 V, 0-20 mA or 4-20

mA. The output can be selected of 0-10 VDC, 2-10 VDC, 0-20 mA or 4-20

mA.
