Device Technologies supplies medical solutions to hospitals and healthcare professionals throughout

Australia and New Zealand. They represent over

200 brands and employ more than 800 people.

With an aging infrastructure, they were looking to

replace their data center. They wanted to standardize their infrastructure,

in order to reduce the risks posed by unscheduled

downtime.

They also needed to ensure that their IT

operations were more efficient, and that they measured up to the security standards demanded

of a modern organization.

With a lack of internal resources, they initially approached Dell Technologies to simply upgrade

their existing infrastructure. However, in

conjunction with Dell Technologies we recognized

the possibilities a different approach could offer.

We were tasked with identifying their needs; not just around the infrastructure, but also in helping

them to create a new data center strategy. After a

Future State Architecture Assessment, we

implemented a full hyperconverged system for

them.

The close relationship we have with Dell Technologies enabled Device Technologies to

future-proof their data center infrastructure.

Rather than simply replacing existing

infrastructure, they were able to migrate to an

architecture that better suited their business needs.

In addition, the hyperconverged platform will

make it possible for the organization to respond

faster to market changes and roll out new
