Services of the LGU-Carmona is extended to the physically and mentally challenged members of thecommunity that aims to integrate the disabled persons into the mainstream society and lead them to ameaningful, productive and satisfying life through rehabilitation.

AWARDS AND CITATIONS

For effectively carrying out the vision of putting up a center for the persons with special needs of

Carmona, and for providing these people a conducive environment for skills enhancement, education, health

and wellness, sports and involvement in entrepreneurial activities.

2009 Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award2008 Apolinario Mabini National Award – LGU of the Year

One of the most significant achievements of the Local Government Unit of Carmona is to

encourage parents to bring their special children out into the open, allow them to be educated as much as possible and be fully functional within

their individual capacities. The Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) has today evolved into a Center for an ever growing

number of learners with various disabilities.

There are 20 beneficiaries of Cleft Palate Operation, 8 of which are male and 12 are female.

Awarded assistive devices (19 customized wheelchairs, 7 quad cane, 3 white cane, 2 sets of crutches and 5 hearing aides)

PWD Mapping Sweet Company Diabetic Club

Sweet Company Diabetic Club members enjoy free maintenance medications, monthly blood glucose monitoring, regular lectures and an internist who regularly checks on the patients. They also have their own schedule of HL exercises.

The program has been running for the past 3 years and has 200 active members.
