How to Help Your Child Prepare for the SAT or ACT?
• Students can start taking the PSAT test in the 9th grade.• This test is a great way to practice
test taking skills before taking the SAT in the Spring of Junior year.• Sign up for THE EDGE Fall semester
of Senior year.• Students have access to the Method
Test Prep through Career Cruising their Junior and Senior year.
Things to remember…• Freshman Year counts!• Grades are used as a prerequisite for many high school courses• Encourage your child to keep their grades up• Academic Labs are available if help is needed• Communicate with your student’s teachers• Students should try to get involved in co-curricular activities and community service to help them prepare for college
