Team SystemSmall teams did not formally exist as part of the Rover Scout program.

MentoringA mentor-mentee relationship, either between a Scouter and a Rover or between two Rovers, is a fundamental component of the Rover Scout program.

AdvisorsAdult Volunteers

Scouters To reduce siloing within Scout Canada, adult Volunteers in the Rover Section are called “Scouters”—though their role in the Crew as advisors remains unchanged.

Badges and AwardsThe only badge distinct to the Rover Scout program was the Rambler Badge, which was presented to Rover Scouts who had participated in international Scouting activities.

BadgesLess emphasis is placed on badges in the Canadian Path program. The Canadian Path has six Program Areas: Environment & Outdoors, Leadership, Citizenship, Active & Healthy Living, Creativity and Beliefs & Values. Each season, Rover Scouts plan, do and review one activity for each Program Area. Rover Scouts may explore the Program Areas with other Rovers or independently.

Outdoor Adventure Skills are proficiency-based badges and carry through from Beavers to Rovers.
