treatment for my workTRANSCRIPT
I will be exploring Parkour in London
• Who at the moment is participating in Parkour and why
• Were you can go to participate in Parkour
• What public events are happening around London to do with Parkour
I will be proving that Parkour is a brilliant sport
• Parkour needs to be integrate in to everyone's lives as the benefits that come from participation far out way the
negatives.
I will be investigating how Parkour is growing with in London
• What is happening at the moment to make Parkour bigger in London I will be doing this by talking to local cancel members about
what they are doing to help the sport, talking to local sports centres to see if they interested in having a Parkour training hub in
there centre and I will talk to local schools to hear there views on including Parkour in to PE lessons or extra curricular education
• What is going to be done in the near future to promote Parkour
Intentions
CONTENT OF IDEA
I will explore this through interviews with people who have authority and a good knowledge on the subject such as Parkour athlete's and coaches as it is really important to only use people who know what there talking about as well as people that my target audience are going to be able to trust.
The topic that I will be looking at is Parkour
this is because I have a great interest in the
subject and want to find out more about it.
The angle for my Parkour documentary will
be how the government is going to help
develop Parkour in London this is because I
live in London and it is the biggest urban
area in the country which intern should
mean Parkour will be bigger there.
The unique selling point will be that Parkour
is unconventional, it isn't a sport that many
people have tried or even know about.
There for it will be something that I think
will catch the attention of my audience.
I will debate whether or not the
government is doing enough and what they
need to do to improve Parkour in London
and its current situation around the UK.
I will be investigating how you can go a do
Parkour in London and what London is
doing to make it appeal to my target
audience more. As Parkour is a brilliant way
of exercising and keeping fit.

My Target
Audience
Gender
Male and female
Parkour is something that appeals
more to the male gender interests.
But to make my documentary
appeal to females as well. I’m going
to have a female Parkour athlete
which I feel will engage the female
audience more as they will be able
to relate to girl doing the free run.
Location
UK
So that my documentary will appeal
to my target audience I'm going to
include shoots of places that my
audience will recognise for example
tourist spot in London like tower
bridge and St Pals cathedral. I'm
going to do this so my audience will
be able to recognise where the
documentary is set and will be able
to relate to it.
Interests And Hobbies
My target audience may have a
variety of hobbies and interests such
as running, free running, gymnastics,
urban sports and urban music such
as dub step, drum & bass and grime.
To help make my documentary
appeal to its target audience I'm
going to use dub step as the backing
music. This style of urban music also
go well with Parkour as Parkour is an
urban form of running and
gymnastics. Ito make the
documentary appeal to its audience
I'm going to do quick vox pops as it
will relate to Parkour which is always
quick. To make it more interesting for
the audience who are interested in
gymnastics I'm going to show the
gymnastic side of Parkour as well as
the fast past running which will also
engage the audience who are
interested in running.
My Target
Audience
Current Media
Consumption
sky sport, channel extreme,
XGames, tempest free run TV,
Corang, Radio one dub step hour
I'm going to look at these types of
media and what makes them
appeal to my target audience then
use that in my documentary to
make it appeal to my audience
Ethnicity And Religion
The ethnicity on my target
audience is predominately white. I
believe this is because it comes
from gymnastics which is a
predominantly white sport. To
make my documentary appeal to
the rest of my target audience I'm
going to try and show different
ethnicity's participating in the
sport
Socio Economic Group
The socio economic group of my audience will be C2 – E
this is because my target age group will mostly be at
school or university there for wont have been able to have
learnt the skills to be in any other category or they are
learning the skills to be in a higher category

Media law
Copyright This may affect my work when I
am getting archive footage I will
need to ensure that all the
footage I take I’m legally aloud to.
I will ensure I’m aloud to by
contacting the creator and asking
for permission.
Privacy, Confidence and Date Protection In my documentary I am doing interviews. I will
need to make sure that everyone I interview is
fully aware of that they are being interviewed
about and what the documentary is about.
Contempt of Court The attorney general has won permission to
launch contempt of court proceedings against
sky news for allegedly breaching an injunction
taken out to protect the safety of kidnapped
British couple Paul and Rachel Chandler
Defamation Defamation isn't something that
will effect my documentary as
much as it could how ever when
asking the public or interviewees
there opinions of 3Run, tempest
academia or urban freeflow they
may say something that will be
libellous.
Editorial Guidelines
ChildrenMy work my affect my work as I am planning
on interviewing some children who are
participating in some of the Parkour courses.
Therefore I will need to make sure I safeguard
the children in my documentary. I will use
crash mats in the area were they will be
participating in Parkour as well as getting
permission slips from the parents
Truth And AccuracyI will need to make sure what I am telling my
audience is correct and that when I’m
interviewing people they are professionals
who aren't just making stuff up I will be able
to do this by looking at my own research and
running cheeks on the people I am going to be
interviewing
FairnessWhen making my documentary I will
be fair, open, honest and straight
dealing when giving out information.
I will be respectful to my audience
and won't try to miss lead them in
anyway.
Serving The Public InterestIn my documentary I will be looking at Parkour
this is something I have found is in the public
eye at the moment. I know this as there is a
popular sitcom called misfits which is watched
mainly by my target audience and has a
character in it who is constantly doing Parkour. I
am also going to bring experts to interview and
will be educating my audience on Parkour
OFCOM
CriminalityIn my work I may show people
doing Parkour who are
trespassing. However I will need
to make sure I’m not glamorizing
or encouraging this behaviour
Offensive MaterialIn my work I may have footage
where one of my athletes swear
as they aren't used to being on
camera and they are just acting
how they normally would. If so I
would need to make sure that
what is said wouldn’t offend
people.
Dealing with Contributors
In my documentary I am doing interviews. I
will need to make sure that everyone I
interview is fully aware of that they are
being interviewed about and what the
documentary is about.
ReconstructionsReconstruction wont really
affect my work as I’m not
planning on re-enacting
anything in my documentary. I
will need to make sure that I
don’t show anything that isn't
true.
