Amazing things are happening at Trinity

Treats, games, prizes and more are all part of the fun of Trunk to Trunk on Saturday October 26th from 10am till noon. This is event not only provides a safe and fun place for kids to go trick or treating, but also provides Trinity with an opportunity to share the love of Christ with our neighbors! There are lots of ways to be involved. The sign up for car spots will be available in the Narthex starting October 5th. Get your family and friends together for a group car. Bible study groups, church boards, and any church groups are also encouraged to take advantage of the op-portunity to reach so many people without having to leave the parking lot. Please use your best Chris-tian judgement when choosing your car theme. Vol-unteers are also needed to help with games, door prizes, refreshments, and greeting those who attend. This rain or shine event is open to everyone, so invite your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers! If you have any questions contact Wendy Jean Owens at 715-218-0413 or email at [email protected]

“ALL NATIONS” CELEBRATIONWhat a wonderful outreach to our community and fun and fellowship for our Trinity members! On Friday night a great number of families and friends enjoyed making S’Mores in the parking lot around the fire pits, followed by popcorn and refreshments during the movie sponsored by J.A.M. “FUND RAISING WHILE SHOPPING”Jan-Aug 2019

Online Sales $4825.00Regular Sales $255,931.00

Profit Returned $13,668.30 October is here and hopefully the weather stays nice enough to enjoy another month of fall and all the outside activities going on. Our scrip fund raiser was started to earn extra income for

our Church. It is a fund raiser that costs you nothing extra out of pocket. You simply do your everyday shopping at the stores you already shop using gift cards instead. We have been averaging

30-40 families per week buying scrip. That’s quite low for a congregation as large as ours. We ask that more of you, our members, school families, church and school staff to take the time, to buy scrip. Don’t forget to check out the businesses on the back of our order form that give a return without the use of

cards, and check out scrip on line at [email protected] to see all the ways you can buy scrip from the comfort of your

home and mobile. Please give it a try.Thank you and have wonderful October!

Trinity’s October Congregational Quarterly Meeting will be here soon. We are looking for candidates for Elders, Trustees, School Board, Youth Board, Fellowship, Evange-lism, and Stewardship. Prayerfully ask God what he wants you to do for him at Trinity. One of these offices may be just what you need to fulfill your life. Please call the church office at 715-536-5482 or send an email to: [email protected]. Thank you for your consideration.

What’s Your Calling...

Trinity First Grade News...In our First Grade classroom we have been learning about the love of grandparents, special times with grandpar-ents, illnesses of grandparents and the death and eternal life in heaven that we’ll share with our grandparents one day. So we invited our grandparents and great-grandparents to chapel on Sept. 18. Then they stayed for a program of songs and fingerplays. Afterwards we served them the applesauce we made in class along with birthday cake so we could also celebrate their birthdays! It was a fabulous celebration of the love between grandparents and grandchildren!

The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor. —

Proverbs 22:9Feed the hungry and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness and

the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. – Isaiah 58:10-12

Do you think about these words and wonder what they mean or what you can do to feed the hungry or help those in trouble?

Trinity’s food pantry feeds those in need. You can help by donating your time, donating food, or donating money for the purchase of food. Any money you donate goes directly to purchase food. You never have to wonder where the money goes.

Do you know if you donate $10.00 in one month, we can purchase 52 pounds of food from Feed America? This could be 52# of beef, vegetables or macaroni.

You can donate at the church office or put your donation in an envelope and place it in the donation plate. Please help to support our pantry.

What is nutritious, sweet and a grand treat?A can of fruit – it can’t be beat! Please donate canned fruit in October. Brat Fry Thank You!

Our annual bake sale and brat fry was once again a huge success. Thank you to all who volunteered and donated. We appreciate those who arrived by 6:00 a.m. to start set-ting up, all our wonderful bakers, grillers, sales people, packers, and deliverers who worked cheerfully to make the day pleasant for everyone. Our students cheers were loud and enthusiastic, bringing in people who might not otherwise have stopped. The weather even cleared so that people could enjoy sitting outside to enjoy their food. Thank you to everyone who helped, purchased, or in any-way supported our efforts. Thanks to you, we were able to raise over $1,300 for Outdoor Education!

THOUGHTS FROM MIRIAM THE CHURCH MOUSEI hope that everyone is enjoying the sights, and the smells of autumn. Living in Wisconsin brings many blessings. We are able to experience the four different seasons of the year. Some-one , once said, jokingly of course, that sometimes you may experience all four seasons in one day. Each of God’s season’s allows many choices, choices in our clothing, choices in our home landscaping, and certainly choices in our recreational routines. They say that in Wisconsin, if you don’t like the weather, just wait fifteen minutes and it will be sure to change. I, for one, love the change in seasons, and having snow at Christmas. The white snow is a symbol of purity, and it reminds me of how Jesus came to dwell among His people in purity and truth..

Most often we think of Autumn as a season of change. It displays the changing colors of the leaves, that cover the landscape of city yards, and the broad countrysides, as they flutter to the ground below. I came across a poem for autumn that I thought I would share with you. In a small way, it gives a perspective to the times when we are in wonder of the mysteries of God.

ACORNS & PUMPKINSAn old poem describes a woman walking through a meadow, meditating on nature. While strolling about, she came upon a field of golden pumpkins. In the corner of the field stood a majestic, huge oak tree. She sat under the oak tree musing on the strange twists in nature which putting acorns on huge branches and the large pumpkins on tiny vines. She thought to herself, “God blundered with cre-ation! He should have put the small acorns on the tiny vines and the large pumpkins on the huge branches,Nodding off, the woman stretched out under the oak tree for a nap. A few minutes after falling asleep she was awakened by a tiny acorn bouncing off her nose. Chuckling to herself, she rubbed her nose and thought, “Maybe God was right after all.” ~ Author Unknown ~

I wish each of you God’s continued blessings, as you meditate on the wonders of our awesome God. Until next month, I close with this thought, “With God, all things are possible.

~ Love, Miriam
