EDITOAfter a calm and relaxing summer, we are glad to usher you into two months of exciting events. On the one hand we have concerts, poetry, dance show and on the other, three festivals; YOYO TINZ FESTIVAL, AGROBI THEATRE FESTIVAL AND NDIVA FILM FESTIVAL. The AGROBI THEATRE FESTIVAL which is happening for the first time is aimed at bringing together; theatre lovers, art lovers and stakeholders of the art to experience theatre from various groups.On the Academic calendar, a DELF/DALF exam will take place in September and the next session for French, English and Twi classes starts in October. Do not forget to register!

Après un été calme et relaxant, nous sommes heureux de vous accueillir avec deux mois d’événements passionnants. D’une part, nous avons des concerts, de la poésie, des spectacles de danse et d’autre part, trois festivals : YOYO TINZ FESTIVAL, AGROBI THEATRE FESTIVAL ET NDIVA FILM FESTIVAL. Le Festival AGROBI qui se déroule pour la première fois, a pour but de rassembler les amateurs de théâtre, les amateurs d’art et les parties prenantes de l’art pour découvrir les oeuvres de divers groupes.Du côté académique, un examen DELF/DALF aura lieu en septembre quant à la prochaine session des cours de français, d’anglais et de twi, elle débutera en octobre. N’oubliez pas de vous inscrire!

WED. CHOREOPOEM.. POETRY/CONCERT ..

In recent times Ghana has experienced several challenges from killings of notable MPs to public transport accidents, June 3rd flooding, Takoradi/Canadian girls’ kidnappings and the likes which have affected the psyche of the people. In this choreopoem “Agony of the People” written by Leander David, there is a quest to narrate these challenges and similar tragedies in acts of scenes through dramatic performances.

De l’assassinat de députés, aux inondations du 3 juin, aux enlèvements de filles de Takoradi et de filles canadiennes, le Ghana a connu plusieurs défis qui ont affecté l’esprit de la population. Ce choreo-poem « l’Agonie du peuple » écrit par Leander David, relate ces tragédies et ces défis à travers des performances théâtrales.

DELLA HAYES.. CONCERT ..

As she celebrates 10 years of “Della Hayes and her Women of Colour Band,” the first ever Afri-can private all female contemporary music band, Della’s “Della @ 10 Concert” will rather be a par-ty concert featuring a competition with some of the all-women’s bands formed since then. Lots of dancing by the female musicians and yourselves, all dressed up at their best.

« Della Hayes and her Women of Colour Band », le tout premier groupe privé africain de musique contemporaine entièrement féminin, « Della @ 10 Concert », sera un concert festif avec une compéti-tion de danse entre plusieurs groupes de femmes, toutes habillées de façon trés élégante.

GHANA HERITAGE DANCE.. DANCE SHOW ..

The Dance of Ghanaian Origin (DOGO) Concert is a folkdance program of the Ghana Dance Fes-tival. This program will bring together the best in traditional and African contemporary dancers in a spectacular show. This year’s edition will also host a traditional dance battle, where dancers will compete in traditional and contemporary dance types. The Ghana Dance Festival is a month-long program, with different dance events including Folk Dance, Street Dance, AfroLatin Dance...

The Dance of Ghanaian Origin (DOGO) Concert est un programme de danse folklorique du Ghana Dance Festival. Ce programme réunira les meil-leurs danseurs traditionnels et contemporains afri-cains dans un show spectaculaire.

Osagyefo Night is a musical concert that will see Trigmatic perform a two hour, 30minute set. He’ll perform songs from his vast collection as well as other very notable tunes from great African music acts including, Hugh Masekela, Youssou N’dour, Osibisa and others. Trigmatic will be joined by the likes of Abiana, Okyeame Kwame and others. Osagyefo Night is a night to celebrate Nkrumah’s legacies of freedom, change and progress in Afri-ca; All through music.

Osagyefo Night est un concert de musique qui inclura un passage sur scène de Trigmatic d’une durée de deux heures et demie. Il interprétera des chansons de son vaste répertoire ainsi que d’autres morceaux populaires de la musique africaine.

YOYO TINZ FESTIVAL.. CONCERT ..

After a successful maiden edition, the Yoyo Tinz festival will return from 9th to 13th October, 2019. The festival will be the occasion to discover or rediscover the various elements of the hip hop culture: Rap, Graffiti, Beatbox, Djing with a spe-cial focus on dance.

Yoyo Tinz est un festival dedié au hip hop. Après une première édition réussie, il sera de retour du 9 au 13 octobre 2019. Le festival sera l’occasion de découvrir les différents éléments de la culture hip hop : Rap, Graffiti, Beatbox, Djing avec un accent particulier sur la danse.

AGROBI THEATRE FESTIVAL.. THEATRE ..

Agrobi Theatre Festival is a five-day theatre festi-val aimed at bringing together; theatre lovers, art lovers and stakeholders of the art to experience theatre from various groups. This is the first of its kind as it seeks to focus on contemporary artistes on the periphery. It also seeks to promote original stories or adaptations of African stories that ex-plore our culture; at the same time tackling social issues in a unique manner.

Agrobi Theatre Festival est un festival de théâtre de cinq jours visant à rassembler les amateurs de théâtre et d’art pour leur faire découvrir de nom-breux groupes amateurs et professionnels Cette première édition vise à mettre l’accent sur les ar-tistes contemporains.

NDIVA FILM FESTIVAL.. FILM SCREENINGS ..

NWFF 2019, is the third edition of the festival. Activities lined up for the festival this year in-clude a 5 day workshop in Screen writing and Directing for women screen writers and film di-rectors, 3 days of film screenings of selected films largely centered around the women and how they experience the world, Panel Discussions and an Awards Ceremony.

Ce festival du film cherche à rassembler les femmes cinéastes et toutes les autres femmes de la chaîne de production cinématographique dans un espace où elles peuvent se rencontrer, célébrer, collaborer et exposer leur travail.
