We took a tour of the restaurants at the Trinity Centre to find out how well they cater for vegetarian tastes. Here are the results and rankings from 1-10.

No.5Giraffe and their ‘posh pub lunches’ come in at No.5 with 18 vegetarian plates. No.7Fresh Italian cooking of great quality is something Carluccio’s represents. They have 11 vegetarian meals on their menu consisting of:• 7 breakfast options• 1 starter plate • 3 pasta dishes.Ameena Lone,19, a vegetarian Leeds Met student said, “The variety is okay, but the majority of the options are pasta dishes”.

No.8This innovative living venture is popular for its lively atmosphere but with only 7 vegetarian options, The Alchemist comes in 8th.

Tracy,21, a Waitress said, “ I never really pay attention to how much vegetarian food we sell, but we must sell enough of it if it’s still on the menu”.

No.9Rustic with deli-style food, The Botanist is No.9 with only 5 vegetarian options. The menu offers:• 4 starters• 1 main • some side orders with

flatbread.Tom,35, the Bar Manager said, “I think we do cater for vegetarians well, the reason maybe we don’t have many options is because our menu is small”.

No.10At the BHS Street Kitchen food is freshly prepared to take away and enjoy, but is 10th in the ranking. With poor variety the menu only has:• 3 main meals aside from
