Trinity Oaks had the pleasure of participating in two wild game dinners. One Wild Game Chili Dinner at Crossroads Church in Seguin and a Wild Game dinner hosted by Saint Paul Lutheran church at the New Braunfels civic center. As part of the program at the Saint Paul Wild game dinner, Trinity Oaks, with a generous donation from the Kidd Family Foundation, blessed two retired veterans with Action Track Chairs to help them spend time in the outdoors.

Dallas Safari Club 2015 “TRADITIONS” CONVENTION

Every year Trinity Oaks has a booth at the DSC Convention. We meet some great people and get a chance to catch up with old friends. We had two v e t e r a n s t h a t h a d participated in past events helping us man our booth: Philips Casey and Matt Deatherage. Trinity Oaks had ulterior motives for having them there though.

We got to surprise these two heroes with an African Safari hunt! With help from our generous donors, Trinity Oaks’ is blessed to host two heroes every year. Have fun Philips and Matt!

H2O YOUTH PROGRAM Trinity Oaks believes with education and proper initiation of youth we must teach the cultural and aesthetic pleasures necessary to cement the next generation to hunting and fishing.

Trinity Oaks hosted a couple of youth at the El Sauz to hunt for cow Nilgai and quail. As you can see by the photos they only ended up with some rabbits for dinner. That is why we call it hunting.

Despite the freezing temperature these first time hunters had a great time (and a lot of smores). After gun safety and shot placement training for all four, the hunt was on! Seth bagged this ram on his 3rd stalk of the day. One shot and the ram was down. Levi followed soon after with his first kill. Erin and Colby both were successful! A trophy for their wall and the meat will go to feed the needy through Trinity Oaks’ meat distribution program.

PROCESSING PLANT NEWS March 2014

January 2015

More progress at the Trinity Oaks Meat Processing Plant. One of our goals in 2014 was to expand the processing plant to handle additional volume. Because of donations received we were able to construct a 20x30 walk-in freezer and a 20x30 walk-in cooler. We are also starting a project for a secure parking lot. We completed building the rail system to hang game in the new walk-in cooler. We are now capable of housing triple the capacity over last year.

In the first quarter we distributed over 33,300 pounds of processed meat! This equals over 166,500 meals. We are on point with our 2015 goal to distribute over 125,000 pounds of meat, representing 625,000 individual meals.

During the first quarter, Trinity Oaks was blessed to donate ground venison to the following organizations: Heart Core Ministries, Castle Hills First Baptist, Crossroads Church, Hands of Grace, Bethel's Heavenly Hands, Bridges of Faith, Outcry in the Barrio, Burke Boys Center, RACAP, Hands of Grace, Casa Hoogar, Border Ministries, House of Restoration, Mobil Loaves and Fishes, Genesis, Bridges of Faith, Border Ministries, Divine Fellowship, St Paul Lutheran, Strong Tower Ministry, Mission of Mercy, Break Bread Street Ministry, Community Table Project, St Frederick Baptist Church, Provisions, Blanco Cowboy Church, House of Restoration, Blanco Good Samaritan, Feed My Sheep, Castle Hills First Baptist, Girl's Home, m-25 Outreach, and Fishes and Loaves

This could be possible without the generosity of our donors!!

Trinity Oaks delivered about 1,000 pounds of meat to the Rio Grande Valley for distribution to the needy in South Texas and orphanages in Northern Mexico.

Thank you Eve Anderson for your help unloading.

Come check out the progress and enjoy some crawfish with all the fixins’. For those that do not eat crawfish we will be offering pulled pork as well. The event will kick off at 5pm on Saturday, April 25, 2015. We are looking forward to meeting some new friends. Make sure to bring a outdoor chair for some relaxation time next to the beautiful Guadalupe River.

GUADALUPE RIVER CAMP Located in Seguin Texas, our Guadalupe River Camp was founded in 2012 with the goal of offering a place for children without opportunity and the disabled to traverse their limitations and strengthen both them and their families for the benefit of our entire community. Already offering dream hunts and outdoors adventures for nearly 500 annually, we envision the site serving thousands as well as being a resource for other nonprofit partners and school groups. Recently the Guadalupe Property has undergone some renovations. In addition to groups enjoying swimming, fishing, kayaking, volleyball, and the joy of just being in the outdoors, a playground has completed and a concrete slab has been poured that will house a 30 x 60 feet pavilion with a fire pit. We will also have outdoor bathrooms. All the building that has taken place on the river has been done with the graciousness of many donors. Special thanks to Crossroads Church, Ron Soefje (and son), Oscar Hernandez, Colonial Life Supplemental Benefits, Ingram Ready Mix, Steve Garza (and company), James Flores, and Gulf Stream Electric.
