Our Practice of Close Communion We believe from Acts 2:42 and 1 Corinthians 10:16-17 that Holy Communion is the highest

expression of our fellowship with Jesus and with each other, and that God intends the sacrament to be celebrated together by Christians who accept all the teachings of the Bible. If you are a guest and are not yet a member of the WELS/ELS fellowship, we invite you to learn more about us and, most of all, about the Savior whom God has sent. Then join with us at his communion table. To learn more about our faith and fellowship, speak with Pastor Brauer or Pastor Yahnke.

Personal preparation for Holy Communion can be found on page 156 in front of the hymnal. Communion in Front Rows

If you are unable to walk up to the rail for Communion, you may be seated in one of the front pews during the service. The pastors and elders will come down to the front pews to distribute Communion.

Senior Choir

Senior choir is in need of people willing to use their voices to sing for church for the following services. We are planning out the schedule by specific singing dates so any who are interested do not need to feel obligated to commit to the entire year. If you would like to help with one, two, or all three of the services, the rehearsal times are listed below. No matter your talent and ability, we would like the privilege of being able to serve our Savior with you. If you want more information, please contact Naomi Fritz ([email protected] or 920-342-8865).

Door Offering Next Week

Next week you may give monetary gifts to the Live Nativity effort sponsored by the four Watertown WELS congregations in December. We will also share more details about this outreach event in services

Choral Fest Help Still Needed

We still need help for housing the Winnebago Lutheran choral group on November 11 to 13. Thanks for those who have volunteered to help already. We could still use homes for at least 10 students. If you can help at all, please sign up in the Fireside room and complete the host questionnaire or contact Michele Maas at [email protected] or 920-206-1710. It will be here before we know it!! Thanks for your help!!

Anniversary Dinner Reservations

Reservations for the Centennial Dinner on November 6 at 11:30 am can be made in several ways. You can sign up in the Fireside Room, return the reservation form, or go online at tinyurl.com/trinity100. Please make your reservations by October 16.

100th Anniversary Offering Envelopes and Giving

In thanksgiving to God for 100 years of blessing upon our congregation, we have set a goal of raising $100,000 in special offerings over the next nine months. About $88,000 of that offering will be designated for Trinity’s debt retirement. Just over $12,000 of the offering will be sent to the WELS Pakistan Sunday School Ministry. Special offering envelopes have been created for this offering and are available in the Trinity Fireside Room. Every member at Trinity who receives a box of offering envelopes each year has a packet of special offering envelopes. The packets are arranged alphabetically. Please pick up yours and your family members’ today.

If you would like to give 100th Anniversary offerings by using the new Give By Text program, it is now ready for use. Simply send a text to our Trinity Give by Text number (920) 654-1062 with the dollar amount and what fund you would like your offering to be given to. The Trinity debt retirement uses the code: Anniv . The Pakistan Sunday School Ministry uses the code: PakSS. For example, if you would like to donate $25 toward the WELS Pakistan Sunday School Ministry offering, you text the phrase $25 PakSS to the Trinity number. (Leave a space between the dollar amount and the code.) If you haven’t yet entered debit or credit card information for your account, you’ll be sent a link to do so. You only have to do this once. Anytime you use Give By Text after that, you will only need to enter the amount and the code, if you are giving for a special fund.

Three Strands Couples Retreat

Pastor Jason Ewert from Hope in Oconomowoc, will be the keynote speaker presenting on “Hopes and Dreams” at the Three Strands Retreat for husbands and wives. What were your hopes and dreams for your marriage and your life together when you first got married? What are they now? And is this really God’s plan for your marriage? The rest of the day will feature breakout speakers on additional topics of marriage and parenting presented by other WELS pastors, teachers and counselors. Support and enrich your marriage with this blessing on Saturday, November 5 from 8:30 am 3:40 pm at Three Strands Retreat for husbands and wives (and engaged couples!) being held at Lakeside Lutheran High School. For more information or to register go to www.threestrandsretreat.org. Registration forms are also available in the Fireside Room.

Workplace Giving Campaigns

The 2016-2017 charitable workplace giving programs begin this month. Many communities and corporations have a donor choice program in which you may designate a qualified 501(c)(3) agency to receive your donation. Two such organizations are: Wisconsin Lutheran Child and Family Service – WLCFS received gifts from dozens of workplace programs and United Way agencies that allow a donor choice option last year. WLCFS qualifies in these programs as a 501(c)(3) non-profit social service agency. If you have questions about your participation in such a program, check your employer’s guidelines, or call Jeff at WLCFS toll free at 1-888-685-9522 or email [email protected] for more information.

WELS Lutherans for Life–Save babies' lives and transform families when you designate your United Way gift to WELS Lutherans for Life, Metro-Milwaukee, which is an eligible recipient of United Way donations through the Donor Choice option. Ask your employer for a Donor Choice form and designate WELS Lutherans for Life, Metro-Milwaukee, 8501 W. Lincoln Ave, West Allis, WI 53227, 414-727-8176. For information or details visit: www.ALife2.com, email: [email protected] or call: 414-727-8176.

Organ Recital Wyatt Smith, LPS 2009 graduate and concert organist, will be performing at Luther

Preparatory School Chapel on Sunday, October 9 at 3 pm.
