TRIP TO WELLINGTON.
On Monday our flight wasn’t til 1.30pm so we went up the Sky Tower and looked down at all the houses. We saw somebody jumping off the Sky Tower.
We saw somebody fixing the window cleaner that went around the side of the window. It used a motor to drive it up and down and round a track.

Facts about the Sky Tower
At the sky tower we saw some people bungy jumping off it. We got to press a coin – we used a special machine to do it. You had to put $2 to turn into one. I got a Sky Tower on my coin. The machine had a hole puncher on one of the sides. The hole puncher was powered by when you turned the handle around (it was going in out in out and pushing the thing)
We saw the mechanics of the lift because there was a window on the bottom of the lift so we could see the motor & things. It actually had a motor that was right up the top & bricks that were pulling the lift down with cables. They were so heavy – heavier than Mum.
Plane tripThen we got on the plane and flew to Wellington.
This is a picture when we looked out the window.

On the plane we got to watch tele and eat lollies and a snack of chippies. We looked out the window and saw the other planes taking off and landing.
The sun was shining while we were on the plane.
Te Papa
We built things out of special connectors at Te-Papa and we made things. I made a space ship.
On the floor there was a New Zealand map and I pointed where North Shore was.
We made music at Te Papa. It was in the Pacifika Room.
This is a video of me playing an instrument called a sub-drum.
They had inventions that you had to turn the handle. On one of them you had to turn the handle & the ball would go up a spiral screw. The other one when you turned the handle it spun the bike wheel & made the ball go up. There was a special thing on the bike wheel that would lift the ball up. The other one you had to try to pull out a handle and shoot a ball up to the spiral. It was kind of a pin ball machine.
There was old computers that we could see through glass and other types of typing things.

The BeehiveWe looked at the Beehive but we didn’t go inside. We walked there. The Beehive is a place that has a bunker under it.
At the Beehive they think about what they’re doing to keep the country clean and nice for people. They make Bills and if lots of people agree with them they make them into laws.

We got a photo on the lion
This is me with a photo on the lion.
This is where the shore line came up to so that means that the water came all the way to this thing on the ground. It was in 1840. Now there is buildings and concrete.
The Cable CarThe cable car was fun because we got to go up the hill to Carter Observatory.
This is a picture showing where the cable car lane is.

This is how the cable car got pulled up the track.
Carter Observatory
The lady showed me her system. She used two computers so she knew what she was doing. She was controlling a big screen up on the roof. There were about 8 projectors projecting up on the roof. The movie was about space.
This is a telescope that people could look through the roof. It was big!
Goodbye Wellington
