TRMS Grade 8 End-of-Year Activities

Dear 8th Grade Parent/Guardian,

It is hard to believe that it is already the end of April and 8th graders are beginning the transition to high school. We

are pleased to report that our students have had many opportunities to learn and grow academically, socially, and

athletically during their 8th grade year. Listed below are the events planned for our 8th grade students in May and

June. Please mark your calendars. This schedule will keep our students busy and excited this spring! Additional

information on specific events will be sent home closer to the event date.

May

12 8th Grade Class Picture, 7:30 am

12 Guitar and Rock Ensemble Concert Grades 6 – 12, 7 pm

13 Orchestra Concert, Grades 4 – 8, PAC, 7 pm

15, 16 French Students’ Trip to Montreal

19, 20, 21 NECAP Science Testing

22 Early Release Day

25 Memorial Day

June

5 Financial Literacy Fair – Team Annapolis

8 Boston Museum of Science – Team Annapolis

8 Welcome Wagon Tours of TRHS, to be held at 6 - 8 pm at TRHS and hosted by the TRHS PTSA

9 Lexington/Concord Tour – Team Cornell

9 Band Concert, Grades 6 – 8, PAC, 7 pm

10 Chorus Concert, 6-8, PAC, 7pm

10 Class trip to Cedarland in Bradford, 9 am – 2 pm

15 Franconia Notch Tour – Team Boston College 8:30-4:30ish

16 Team Celebration Assemblies at the PAC

(The assemblies will be consecutive presentations beginning at 7:45 am. Parents are invited to attend the team

celebrations. They will last approximately 45 minutes and begin at 8:30 am.) 8:30-9:15 Annapolis 9:30-10:15 Boston College 10:30-11:15 Cornell

16 Grade 8 Celebration Dance, 6:30 – 9 pm, Gym/Café,

17 Last Day of School, Dismissal at 11 am
