Adaptation and interactionThe lizards are on every

continent except Antarctica. Apparently they can adapt to a wide variety of conditions, but are most abundant in the tropics.Lizards are ectotherms , regulating their body temperature by heat exchange with the environment.

They are more active when they are near the ground These solitary lizards are in their environment and are known for their ability to change color , her eyes are wide with independent mobility and their tongue can be one meter long. Not always chameleons change color to match the environment , but also to express emotions , defend territory and communicate with their partner.

Fun factsRainforests are forests that experience a high level of rainfall. Scientists believe that there may be millions of plants and insect species in rainforests that have yet to be discovered. Over 25% of natural medicines have been discovered in rainforests. Rainforests used to cover 14% of the Earth’s surface but due to deforestation now only cover around 6%. A wide variety of animals live in rainforests, including birds, snakes, insects, jaguars, cougars, chameleons, turtles, frogs, and many more.
