Engine coolant is a liquid that circulates from engine to radiator

to maintain an operating temperature or reduce overheating of

engine.

There are common trouble spots that need to be checked first before

visiting a service point ..

Under the vehicle or under

the hood area..

First in morning, check under the hood area for any liquid on the ground…

Then check thoroughly under the hood for any wetness near the hoses or reservoir or radiator ..

First look around and check whether any whitish deposit or rust colored stain are there or not?

Replace the pressure cap :

Make sure to check with the mechanic if its functioning properly or not? If found faulty,

replace it.

Check the hoses:-

If found problem in radiator hose, then it’ll leave a sudden shower of steam on the middle of road or any place while driving.

If you find the hose with the symptoms like soft and squishy

bulging hard and brittle

cracked or leaking marked whitish deposit etc…. Then make sure to change

it immediately

Internal leaking:-

Leaking water pump :-

One can replace it in the early stage rather waiting for the

complete break down.

But if the water pump is leaking, then make sure to check whether it is leaking in front of timing belt or around the gasket….

If yet you didn’t find the source of leak, then make sure to

visit the service point and ask the mechanic to do a

pressure test to locate the place of leak..
