    The Diana Award was established in 1999 as an official memorial to Diana Princess of Wales

    and her belief in the power of young people to change the world for the better. Our awards

    exist to celebrate young people who make a positive contribution to their communities in

    the UK and internationally. Award Holders come from different backgrounds - they are

    volunteers, fundraisers, campaigners, carers once they receive their award, they are

    supported in achieving their true potential through the Diana Network.

    The Diana Network enables these community-driven young people to gain skills, training,

    expertise, project management, work and volunteering experiences. It provides a hub,

    through which young people are directed to partner organisations voluntary, government

    and corporates. It can offer support and structure for young people on their career path

    and also establish their long-term dedication to build a society in which we would all like to

    live.

    Trust Fundraiser, 12months contract

    Up to 25k London (full time role; although part time will be considered)

    This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, inclusive and unbureaucratic organisation in an

    exciting time of growth, working closely with staff, trustees and Award Holders to maximise

    income generation for the organisation.

    With a strong focus on communication and writing skills, the role will focus on creating

    inspiring and innovative proposals, identifying funding opportunities, building relationships

    with decision makers and submitting applications to secure new income from trusts,

    foundations, the lottery and other funders.

    You will then manage the monitoring requirements, continued donor care, maintain and

    develop individual relationships with donors.

    You would need to be energetic, proactive and able to juggle a number of projects

    simultaneously and work well within a team. Youll also be an excellent communicator with

    outstanding writing skills.

    Establishment: Based at Head Office in the Oasis Centre, 75 Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7HS

    Salary: up to 25,000 (subject to experience) regular reviews

    Hours of Work: 37 Hrs per week. Normally Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with lunch break on a fulltime

    basis. Part time basis will also be considered for the ideal candidate.

    Holidays: 25 days per year

    Trust Fundraiser One year Contract Only

    Department Objectives:

    To maximise income generation for the Diana Award through investment/fundraising

    from a diverse range of income sources including Statutory Bodies, Trusts and

    Foundations, Corporates, Individual Donors and Event and Community Fundraising

    activities.

    Specific Role:

    To maximise income generation and meet income generation targets through trust

    fundraising from grant making trusts and foundations. The fundraising target for the

    Trust Fundraising Coordinator is: 100,000 PA

    Key Responsibilities:This list is not intended to be exhaustive but is a guide to the duties to be undertaken

    Detailed research of grant and contract funding opportunities using a range of online resources andpublications.

    Identify the organisations funding needs and write compelling application templates that will be used topersuade trusts to support these.

    Implement the existing trust work planner by submitting bids to those trusts already known to the DianaAward, and undertake extensive research to identify new trust prospects.

    Prepare and submit high quality grant funding bids, including:1. Adapting templates so as to create bespoke applications for support in line with the

    requirements of potential funder according to their published guidelines

    2. Compiling relevant documentation including annual report and accounts3. Completing online/offline application forms as appropriate.

    Work with the finance team to develop appropriate and accurate project budgets in line with full costrecovery principles.

    Initiate, establish and proactively manage relationships with grantmakers who are likely to fund theorganisation.

    Organise cultivation events for grantmakers to introduce the work of the Diana Award to them. Report on progress against targets (number of bids submitted and total income raised) Work with project leaders to help them identify their immediate and longer-term funding needs. Work with current and new Award Holders to develop new community projects /services that could be

    fundraised for and run by the Diana Award.

    Maintain accurate records of all activities and ensure that they integrate with the whole fundraisingfunction

    Develop and maintain good relations with staff Maintain high level of professionalism in all undertaking Interest in young people, their views and profile in public life Commitment to the values and purpose of the Diana Award

    Experience:

    A successful track record of experience in the following areas is essential:

    Achieving major grant funding from trusts and foundations or similar Undertaking high quality research to efficiently identify grant and contract funding opportunities Working to meet deadlines Report and bid writing Building effective working relationships at all levels
