Dr. Patrick Steptoe, a gynecologist at Oldham General

Hospital, and Dr. Robert Edwards, a physiologist at

Cambridge University, had been actively working onfinding an alternative solution for conception since

1966. Though Drs. Steptoe and Edwards had

successfully found a way to fertilize an egg outside a

woman's body, they were still troubled by problemsafter replacing the fertilized egg back into the woman's

uterus.

On July 25, 1978, Louise Joy Brown, the world's first

successful "test-tube" baby was born in Great Britain.

1. must be made by a legitimate partner

2.should not use a sperm donor3. not allowed if one partner has a disease

such as HIV infection and AIDS contonya4. not allowed if it is menopause, and use a

surrogate womb

conclusion

Fertilisation in vitro or tube baby only allow for thecouple who had marrid but them inferty,and it isonly allowed if them use the sperm from their formalcouple (no use sperm donor ), the result fromsperma and ovum from the couple will implant in theuterus where the ovum come from. It is do by theexpert medical staff who have good skill, at thepublic health. Thats all is according UU no.23 tahun1992. and contra indication for lesbian, virgin,andpeople with infection disease, for exampleHIV/AIDS,and infection other sexsual transmitteddisease.
