Mrs Haifa Fahoum Al Kaylani, Founder Chairman, Arab International Women’s Forum

Mrs Haifa Fahoum Al Kaylani, Founder Chairman, Arab International Women’s Forum

is well known in international government and business circles as a high-impact

change agent focusing on leadership in cultural and gender issues. An economist and

graduate of the American University of Beirut and Oxford University, she brings a

wide range of skills and experience to her personal mission of encouraging greater

cultural understanding between Arab and international communities, supporting a

strong role for women in that process.

Mrs Al Kaylani holds senior roles in several cultural, commercial and educational

UK and international organizations. These include: Board Member, The Women's

Leadership Board at Harvard Kennedy School; Advisory Board Member, The Middle East Institute,

School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London; Advisory Board Member, The Institute for

Women’s Studies in the Arab World, Lebanese American University, Beirut; Board Director, EastWest

Institute, and Board Member The Arab British Chamber of Commerce in London. Mrs Al Kaylani serves

on The Commission on Global Security, Justice & Governance. Mrs Al Kaylani became the first Honorary

Member, the Euro Mediterranean Association for Cooperation and Development (2012) and serves as a

Freeman of the City of London.

Haifa Al Kaylani received recognition as one of the Women eNews 21 Leaders for the 21 Century (2006);

was included in the Muslim Power 100 Leaders in the UK listing (2007) receiving the Education

Excellence Award; she is a recipient of the International Alliance for Women 2008 World of Difference

Lifetime Achievement Award; and was named one of the 20 leading Muslim women in the UK in The

Equality & Human Rights Commission Muslim Women Lists 2009-2012 and received the United

Kingdom Muslim Woman of the Year Award in 2013.

Haifa Al Kaylani was presented with an Award for an Outstanding Contribution as a Women Leader of

Palestinian Origin and was honored by the Qatari Businesswomen Association and presented with an

Award for her contributions to the growth and development in the Arab region. She was the recipient of

the Global Inspirational Leadership Award 2013 and was honored for individual achievements as a role

model and having made contributions worthy of acknowledgement towards the role of women in

Emerging Economies by the Georgia General Assembly.

Mrs Al Kaylani was included in the Power 100 List, compiled by Arabian Business Monitor and

recognized on the Arabian Business Power 500 List published by Arabian Business Magazine and placed

in the highest ever recording of 118 women in a list of Arab men and women leaders .Mrs Al Kaylani was

Inducted in 2013 by the Centre of Economic Leadership & Development into The Global Women

Leaders Hall of Fame as a distinguished achiever and symbol of female achievement globally. Mrs Al

Kaylani received The Excellence in Life Award presented by The Global Thinkers Forum in Dubai

December 2014. In 2015, Mrs Haifa Fahoum Al Kaylani, received “The Pearl Initiative Recognition for a

Career Focused on Arab Women in Leadership”, presented by the Pearl Initiative Honorary Chairman

H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development in the

United Arab Emirates on the occasion of The Pearl Initiative & United Nations Global Compact Forum

held in Dubai.

On 14 October, 2015 Mrs Haifa Fahoum Al Kaylani was presented with “The Honorary Global

Exemplary Award for Leadership Development 2015”, at the European Women Inventors & Innovators

London. This award was given in acknowledgment of her international achievements in promoting

cultural and gender equality around the world and her extraordinary contribution to economic growth and

to society.

Mrs Chiara Corazza, Managing Director, Greater Paris Investment Agency,

Board Member, AIWF

Chiara Corazza is an Italian and British citizen, resident in Paris. She is married with

two adult children. She has a French Baccalaureat, a degree in Political Sciences

and a doctoral degree in public law from the Univerisity of Rome.She speaks five

languages fluently.

Mrs. Corazza begins her professional career at 18 as a German teacher at the French high school in Rome

and as jounalist at the Daily American. In 1981 she becomes journalist for international economy at

the Italian daily newspaper il Globo.

Arrived in Paris in 1985, she was choosen as Counsellor for International Affairs to the President of

the Paris Region. She there creates Metropolis, the world association of large metropolitan areas and,

working with the French Foreign Office, she planned and implemented Paris Region international policy.

In 1992 Chiara Corazza is nominated Director for International Affairs in the Paris Region.

During this 15 years at the head of international affairs in the Region, she initiates, negotiates and

succesfully manages bilateral cooperation agreements with Beijing, Beirut, Buenos Aires, Budapest, Dakar,

Hanoi, Johannesburg, Madrid, Mexico City, Montreal, Moscow, New Dehli, Santiago in Chile, Tokyo and

Warsaw among others .

In that capacity, Chiara Corazza is responsible to organize numerous international political and business

events in Paris and abroad and to welcome more than a hundred high ranking foreign delegations in

France, working with top business and political executives. She also contributes to conceive a legal frame

for the international cooperations of the French local authorities.

In 1994 she establishes the first Paris Region representation in Brussels and creates a network gathering

Europes' capital regions.

In 1995, she is entrusted by the University Paris Descartes to establish and lead the post graduate course

"The Foreign Relations of Local Authorities" that she teaches for 4 years.

In 1999, she is appointed, Director of International Affairs of Paris 2008, in charge of promoting Paris

bid for the 2008 Olympic games.

Since 2002, Chiara Corazza is Managing Director of the Greater Paris investment Agency, in charge

to attract foreign investors to the Paris Region and to enhance its attractiveness.To this purpose, she also

conducts regular global benchmark studies that became a reference for both economic and policy makers.

In 2010, she is appointed member of the Commission for evaluation of French diplomas in

management, by the Minister of Finance Christine Lagarde. Chiara Corazza becomes also a member of

the MENA-OECD Business Council.

In 2012, she is elected member of the Board of Directors of APRIL insurance company and of the

Board of Trustees of AIWF, the Arab International Women Forum.

In 2014, she is elected member of the Board of RATP, the world's fifth largest public transport company.

Chiara Corazza is Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur.

Mrs Consolata (Lella) Golfo, Politician, Journalist and Entrepreneur

Founder and President of the Marisa Bellisario Foundation, Consolata Golfo is creator of the

Bellisario Prize, now in its twenty-fifth edition.

Deputy elected from the ranks of the PDL in 2008, her name is linked to Law 120/2011 which

introduced in Italy gender quotas on boards of directors and audit committees of listed companies and

controlled by the public administration, legislation unanimously recognized as 'momentous' and which was the

first signatory. Born in 1941, defined by the press as the "godmother" of gender quotas, the “Corriere della sera”

has included her among the twenty-five personalities who have made a significant contribution to Europe in

2012.

She is publishing with Amazzoni books "ad alta quota" a book relating the story of a free woman. It will

be presented in New York (published in English) in Madrid as well as in 73 Italian cities

Mrs Patrizia Maestri, Member of Italian Parliament

Born in Trecasali, near Parma, in May 1954, Patrizia Maestri started working in Unico

Prezzo Italiano Milano (UPIM). She became a trade union Leader at the CGIL

(Italian General Confederation of Labor) and then Head of Women’s Coordination.

Appointed Secretary General of the Trade Division, Patrizia Maestri was afterwards

elected as General Secretary of the Union. When she became Secretary General of

the working chamber of Parma, she was the first woman to hold this position since

the birth of the labor room 117 years ago. During the 2013 general elections, she was elected as Member

of Italian Parliament (Democratic Party) in the constituency of Emilia Romagna. Patrizia Maestri is

married and has one daughter.

Dr Afnan Al-Shuaiby, CEO and Secretary General, Arab-British Chamber of

Commerce

Since her appointment as Secretary-General and Chief Executive of the Arab-British

Chamber of Commerce in 2007, Dr. Afnan Al-Shuaiby has excelled in her efforts to

promote trade between Britain and the Arab World.

Dr. Al-Shuaiby was educated at King Saud University in Riyadh graduating with a

degree in English Literature, and went on to complete a Masters of Art in Educational Administration at

the American University in Washington DC. She holds a PhD from the George Washington University in

Washington DC, in Leadership Administration. She also holds a certificate in Peace and Conflict

Resolution from the School of International Service at the American University Washington DC and has a

certificate in Executive Education from the Harvard Kennedy School. Previously, Dr. Al-Shuaiby worked

as Advisor to the President of the US Saudi Arabian Business Council in Washington DC.

Dr. Al-Shuaiby was named Diplomat of the Year’ for the Middle East 2011 and received the Diplomat

Award, recognizing her distinguished achievements as a foreign diplomat in London. She has also

received the 2011 TIAW World of Difference 100 Award 2011 by selection by The International Alliance

for Women (TIAW). Dr Al-Shuaiby topped the list of the 30 most powerful women in Saudi Arabia in

2014 as reported by the Arabian Business website.

Mrs Patrizia Rutigliano Executive Vice President of Public Affairs and

Communications, Snam

Patrizia Rutigliano was appointed as Executive Vice President of Public Affairs and

Communications at Snam in December 2009.With over 6,000 employees, Snam is the

company that holds the entire ownership of four operating companies Snam Rete

Gas, GNL Italia, Stogit and Italgas, focused on the management and development of

transport and dispatching, regasification, storage and distribution of natural gas. It

manages a national transportation network that is more than 32,000 kilometers long, including 8 storage

sites, 1 regasification plant and a local distribution network that covers more than 55,000 kilometers in

total. Snam has many participations in gas transportation international infrastructures such

as Interconnector, TIGF and TAP.

Since 2011 she is also President of Ferpi, the Italian Federation of Public Relations, member of the

executive committee and of the General Council of Assolombarda and member of the scientific

She is a lecturer at the High School of Media, Communication and Entertainment at Università Cattolica

del Sacro Cuore of Milan, as part of the Master's course in Media Relations and Corporate

Communications. Since 2012 she is a member of the steering committee of the Department of Political

Science at LUISS Guido Carli of Rome.

A professional journalist, she began her career at Mondo Economico, before moving onto Fininvest and

Euronews. Between October 1997 and January 2001 she was Spokesperson for Milan City Council, during

the privatization phase of the major local utilities.

From January 2001 to March 2004 she was Head of External Relations at Fastweb and Manager of the

e.Biscom Press Office, playing a key role in the start-up of the company from its listing onwards. Between

April 2004 and November 2009 she was Director of Communications at Autogrill, where she was

involved in the development and diversification of the Group's business in Italy and abroad.

She has a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature, her thesis focusing on aspects of the Jewish culture

in the films of Woody Allen, and produced together with the Faculty of Arts and Science of Columbia

University. She specialized in Social Communications at Università Cattolica of Milan, where she also

attended a Master's in International Management.

Prof. Valeria Termini, Commissioner of the Italian Regulatory

Authority for Electricity Gas and Water (since 2011), Vice-President

of the Mediterranean Energy Regulators, MEDREG (since 2016)

and of the Council of European Energy Regulators, CEER (since

2013)

Full Professor of Economics since 1995, she has taught Economics of regulation, Economics,

International economics, Monetary economics in several Universities in Italy, including: University of

Roma Tor Vergata, of Roma La Sapienza, of Cassino; of Brescia and abroad: Cambridge University (UK),

University College of London and Columbia University, New York.

She was a member of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA 2010-

2013).

She is the author of several articles and publications on energy policy, European institutions in the field of

energy and climate change, regulation of public utilities.

She studied Economics at Bocconi University (Milano) and Cambridge University (UK).

Mrs Hanan Akram Saab, Founder, Co-owner and Managing Director,

Pharmamed

Mrs. Hanan Saab was born in Choueifat, Lebanon. She spent her scholastic years at

the International School of Choueifat where she obtained her Baccalaureate I & II

degrees with high distinction. Mrs. Saab then joined the American University of

Beirut (AUB) where she earned her Bachelors degree in Pharmacy with distinction,

and was awarded the venerated Penrose Award; granted to graduating students with highest scholastic

achievements and leadership qualities.

Mrs. Saab is a member of the Lebanese order of pharmacy. She practiced hospital pharmacy at the

American University Hospital (AUH) between 1985 and 1990. Despite the wobbly political situation and

lack of national security, she decided in 1990 to start her own business. Consequently, Mrs. Saab founded

the company Pharmamed, whose main focus was the importation and marketing of medical supplies and

novelty pharmaceutical products, based on exclusive representation from renowned foreign companies.

Pharmamed currently represents 22 companies from European and US origin; it has expanded its activities

into the Levant area and UAE.

Since 1997 she has been active at the Alumni Association of the American University of Beirut, where she

served for seven years as the General Secretary of the Pharmacy Chapter. She was also an active member

in this Association’s Relations and Welfare Committee that she chaired from 2004-2007. She is also a

founding member of ISC-Sabis Alumni (International School of Choueifat) and a member of MEET US

Alumni, MEPI alumni. Since 2005, she became active in issues pertaining to Women empowerment. For

this purpose she was invited to participate in July 2005 in the workshop organized by the OECD in

Istanbul on Building Awareness on Women entrepreneurship in the MENA region.

Mrs Camilla Borghese, President, Istituto Biochimico Italiano G. Lorenzini

G. Lorenzini is a historical company on the Italian pharmaceutical scene, with a long

tradition in the field of scientific research. The Ibi plant covers an area of 18,000

square metres, on which a new building is entirely dedicated to the production of ß-

lactamics. Ibi is among the top ten Italian companies in toll

manufacturing; it is present in over 30 countries, exporting two thirds of its total production. It is one of

few companies not producing in the US that has obtained FDA approval for the production of sterile

penicillin for the american market.

She also is Vice Chairman of Centesimus Annus Foundation Pro Pontefice and Contributor of Strategic

Research Agenda of the ETP NanoMedicine.

She studied Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology at University of Roma La Sapienza and qualified

for the Pharmacist profession. She fluently speaks German, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Mrs Raghda Kurdi, Founder and CEO, Hayat Pharmaceutical Industries

Founder & general manager of Advanced Pharma Services, a company that provides

services to the Pharmaceutical sector.

Ms. Kurdi owns and manages two Pharmacies. She was the first woman CEO of a

pharmaceutical manufacturing Co.in the pharmaceutical industry in Jordan, where she

was the founding CEO of Hayat Pharmaceutical Industries for 9years. She is a

founding board member on the Jordanian pharmaceutical Center of Excellence. Ms.

Kurdi served as Member of His Majesty King Abdullah II Economic Consultative

Council in 1999, and as a Member of the Amman City Council for 4 years.

In support of women’s issues locally & internationally, Mrs. Kurdi serves on board of the International

Women's Forum Executive Board of Directors and was the founding President of the International

Women’s Forum- Jordan Chapter. She is a member of the higher council of the Jordanian National Forum

for Women. She is on the steering committee of the European Jordanian Advancement of Enterprise

Program. Ms. Kurdi has a B.SC. In Pharmacy from the American University of Beirut and has participated

in the Leadership and Team Effectiveness executive program at Yale school of Management.

Mrs. Kurdi is married to Dr. Izzeddine Katkhuda and mother of 4, Salwa, Izzat, Hind & Mohammad.

Mrs Yasmina Azhari, Managing Partner, Al Yam International for

Since 1979, Yasmina Azhari, a pioneer businesswoman in Syria, is the founder,

owner and general manager of Mira Trading, LLC. Yasmina is also a partner and

vice president of Trade Coordination Office (TCO), a shipping agency representing

Maersk Shipping Line in Syria. She recently established a new company in Dubai Al

Yam international for Businessmen Services together with Dr. Aisha Al Sayyar.

Through great will and driven entrepreneurial charisma, Yasmina made TCO a prosperous

business, enjoying loyal clients and a favorable workplace for approximately 80 employees around Syria, a

market traditionally dominated by men. Today Yasmina’s time is focused on Mira Trading that owns

and operates malls. She also spends time on the and import/export business AL YAM LLC.

Following her family’s legacy in commerce, and charitable and community work, she founded Mawred, an

NGO aimed at supporting female ventures; a committee to protect Slunfeh and Kassab forests; and was

elected a president of Bashaer Al Nour, an NGO that cares for individuals with autism and

graduates. She is the 3rd Vice Presidnt at the Arab Business Women Council, and a member of the project

of United Nation Advisory Council of the Global Charter on Syria, and an expert in Transport field at

ESCWA : an important ptoject related to the National Agenda for the future of Syria.

In 1999, Yasmina was nominated to be the Honorary Consul of the Netherlands at Lattakia & Tartous

as well as a representative of the Dutch organization PUM, which promotes self-sustainability and

private sector development. She was the first woman to be on the board of the Lattakia Chamber of

Commerce and was elected three times as the Head of Lattakia Business Women’s Committee. Yasmina

has been a board member and advisor for many organizations, was selected 4 times by Forbes as one of

the 50 most powerful Arab Business Women and was chosen among the most 100 powerful women in the

Arab World by the Arabian Business 3 times as well. Yasmina was decorated by H.M The Queen of The

Netherlands as a "NIGHT", and was elected as the best entrepreneur in Syria by E&Y in 2010. In 2013

Yasmina was decorated by the Silver Dove international award in Moscow. And recently,, Yasmina was

awarded in Ajman/UAE as the most active businesswoman in Civil Society 2015. Due to the civil war in

Syria, she left the country and came to UAE where she established Al Yam International for Businessmen

Services 2014.

Mrs Ségolène de Marcellus-de Fitte, Partner and Managing Director, Rivoli

Patrimoine

Ségolène de Marcellus de Fitte is a French citizen born in Paris who lived abroad for

more than 20 years with an international experience in numerous countries like Spain,

Switzerland, the United States of America and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while

raising 4 children. She speaks 4 languages.

She studied in Paris at the University of Paris II/ Assas at the "Institut Français de Presse". After initiating

her career in 1986 at the International Film Festival of Cannes as a public relation and press manager,

Ségolène has also been a French and Spanish teacher at US schools and for executives. She presided

Barbara Minghetti, President of Teatro Sociale di Como-AsLiCo

(Associazione Lirica e Concertistica Italiana)

Born in 1964 Barbara Minghetti has a degree in philosophy and another in

management of performing arts. Since 2009 she is President of Teatro Sociale di

Como-AsLiCo (Associazione Lirica e Concertistica Italiana). From 2015 she is

consultant for Teatro Regio and Festival Verdi Parma.

She has been member of RESEO steering committee (European Network for Opera and dance

education). Since 2010 she is active member of the steering committee of Opera Europa.

Thanks to her leadership, AsLiCo take part in several European projects and created the European project

Opera J, realized from 2008 to 2010 in cooperation with Opéra Royal de Wallonie and Teatro Real de

Madrid. She has had the role of coordinator in the European project Wagner200 in cooperation with Opéra

de Rouen and Theater Magdeburg. She also created new cultural opportunities for the city of Como. Since

2008 she created Festival Como città della musica, she gave great and new impulse to the season of TSC with

important proposals as to opera, dance, drama, symphonic and pop music. In 1997 she created the first

Opera education project in Italy, called Opera domani, that nowadays involves 100.000 students a year. In

2010 she created Opera education, an educational platform dedicated to opera for young audience (from 3 to

18 years old). She is often invited as specialist of Opera education and special project in different meeting

around the world.

Anna Maria Meo Managing Director, Fondazione Teatro Regio

Anna Maria Meo General Director is a musicologist and a promoter of theatrical

and musical projects, who was born in Crotone, Italy. She has been living for

more than thirty years in Florence, where she studied History of Music with

eminent teachers such as M° Paolo Fabbri and Ludovico Zorzi.

She graduated in 1985 at Università degli Studi di Siena with a thesis on the

organization of music events in Italy with reference to the Italian law 800 "New regulations of lyrical and

musical institutions". Her supervisor was Maestro Luciano Alberti. She began her professional career in

1988 with the Festival delle Colline di Poggio in Caiano and from 1990 to 1992 she was the Production

direction of baritone Claudio Desderi, where she followed the production of operas, including the

organization of tours in Italy and abroad. From 1989 to 2000 she was organisation manager of William

Walton Foundation at Villa La Mortella in Forio d'Ischia, the last residence of the musician, which houses

the Advanced course for opera singers, with internationally renewed teachers such as Jonathan Miller,

Colin Graham, Corradina Caporello (Juilliard School), etc.

From 1995 to 1998 she is Artistic Secretary at the Wexford Opera Festival, the main Irish operatic event,

dedicated to rare operatic repertoire.

From 1998 to 2003 she was organizational and administrative manager of Centro Tempo Reale based in

Florence and headed by Luciano Berio. In this role she managed the production of live electronics of the

Maestro's works: Outis produced by Teatro alla Scala and Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris; Cronaca del luogo

for the Salzburg Festival and, for the Carnegie Hall in New York with a project of Maurizio Pollini.

Within the VI Framework Program of the European Commission, in 2001 she presented the AGNULA

project, under the scientific coordination of Maestro Nicola Bernardini. Leading part of this project was

the Centro Tempo Reale and the project received financing for 1.8 million Euros. IRCAM of Paris,

Foundation Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona and KTH Stockholm are parts of this partnership.

Anna Maria Meo was also responsible for the organization and administration of the institution and for

coordinating the project.

From 2004 to 2006 she was Director of research in the sound processing environment, the Media

Innovation Unit, which she created under the scientific direction of Nicola Bernardini.

After Maestro Berio's death, she continued her activity of development and management of Community

programs at Firenze Tecnologia, the Special Agency of the Florence Chamber of Commerce, with two

projects: S2S2 (Sound to Sense - Sense to Sound, Coordinated Action and ConGAS. Both projects

received funding for approximately 1.3 million Euros. As administrative coordinator, she followed up its

implementation and reporting.

From 2004 to 2009 Anna Meo was Head of Cultural Projects Firenze 2010 - later Firenze Futura -

Association for the Strategic Plan of the Metropolitan Area of Florence, which was chaired by Florence

Mayor and ANCI President Leonardo Domenici, and inspired by common principles with the purpose of

promoting and facilitating plans for sustainable development and the implementation of the Strategic Plan

of the Florence area. In this role she developed cultural projects and their feasibility including the creation

and implementation of network of Knowledge: Firenze Sapere, aimed at creating a network between the

most important Italian and foreign cultural institutions. She was charged of the planning, implementation

and reporting of the project Knowledge Sharing, with ESF funding, under the request of the leading

institution, the James Madison University. Partners were Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of Music,

Middlebury College, ISIA, and Accademia della Crusca.

She has also continued her activity of lyrical production and in July 2005 she became Production Manager

for L’incoronazione di Poppea by Claudio Monteverdi at the Teatro Municipal de Salamanca performed

by the Concerto Italiano conducted by Rinaldo Alessandrini.

In 2007 she collaborated for the live electronic production of La pietra di Diaspro of Adriano Guarnieri, a

coproduction with Ravenna Festival and Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.

From 1994 and for almost twenty years she has been active in the field of prose as organizational and

administrative manager of the Teatro Del Carretto, a theatre company based at the Teatro del Giglio in

Lucca, recognized and funded by MiBACT, for which she managed all productions, co-productions and

the distribution activities in Italy and abroad. It also collaborated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with

regard to the realization of cultural exchange programs at international level to which the Company

participated with its productions: Italy in Russia, Italy in China, of Cairo International Festival etc. She

Silvia Tagliaferri, Tourism Director Fidenza Village Silvia Tagliaferri is Tourism Director for Fidenza Village, one of

Silvia is in charge to develop and plan strategies in Italy and at

Shopping Tourism destination for Luxury markets.

She also supports and develop relationship with local

Before joining Value Retail, Silvia Tagliaferri was Sales &

Marketing Manager for Cathay Pacific Airways in Italy & Malta,

overseeing all the operations of sales, marketing, reservations, ticketing, customer service, recruiting and

Before that, she was responsible for setting up the Cargo Division of Cathay Pacific in Italy by covering

the position of Cargo Manager Italy from 1996 to 2006.

Cultural Relationship (AEREC).

During her working career Mrs Tagliaferri had and have the chance to be interviewed many times to the

Anna Maria Corazza Bildt is a Member of the European Parliament. She was

elected in June 2009 by the votes of the Swedish people for the “Moderate”

Party and she is part of the European People Party group (EPP). She is a

member of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee, the Civil

liberties, Home Affairs and Migration Committee, the EU Turkey Joint

Parliamentary Commission, the Delegation for the countries of the Arab

peninsula (DARP) and a member of the board of the Moderate party for Stockholm.

Her professional career started in 1987 in the field of development cooperation – working for UNESCO,

the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome, at the Delegation to the OECD and the World Bank in

Paris – and in the field of human rights for the United Nations in Geneva.

Anna Maria Corazza Bildt was the longest serving civilian in the peace missions during the Balkan wars,

for 6 years, from 1992 to 1996 for the United Nations in Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina, and from

1996 to 1998 for the first European Union post war reconstruction operation in Sarajevo. She lived in the

besieged Sarajevo and moved to Stockholm directly from Sarajevo in 1999 after having married Carl Bildt.

Anna Maria Corazza Bildt is also an active entrepeneur. She is Co-founder of ItalianTradition.com -which

specialises in promoting and selling Italian quality food in Europe, in particular traditional and typical

foods from her region – and of the ”Antico Borgo di Tabiano Castello”, which manages the Relais de

Charme in the historic town of her family in the Parma hills.

She speaks fluent English, French, Italian and Swedish. She also understands Spanish, German and to

some extent Serbo-Croatian. She is a tennis instructor and player at high level.
