Make Plans to Join the Appleton City Pubic Library for the

2018 Summer Reading Program

Libraries Rock!

Tuesdays at 10am

June 5th to July 17th (except for the week of July 4th)

All children ages Pre-school to 8 years old are welcome!

The music themed program will explore instruments,

sounds, and music genres from around the world.

All books are due

back in the library

by Wednesday, May

2nd.

On occasions when your child needs to be absent from school, a parent or guardian must send a note or call the elementary office at

660-476-2108 before 11:00 am on the day of the absence to explain the absence.

REMEMBER, “students who accumulate ten or more absences during the semester will receive an absenteeism referral to be

filed in the appropriate county juvenile court. At that juncture the situation becomes a legal matter. Any attendance pattern

the principal deems excessive or unusual may also be reported to the juvenile officer.” (Student Handbook).

News About the NEWS! The way that people communicate has changed. We are doing our best to

update our systems and processes to accommodate those changes. Therefore,

please note, in the 2018-2019 school year, rather than printing copies of the

newsletter, we will distribute it to parents and other interested community

members via e-mail. The newsletter will still be available on the school website

and our Elementary Facebook page.
