He started his career as a plumber and then went on to work as an estimator and project manager for various Detroit area mechanical contracting firms. In 1995 George joined Centerline Piping, Inc. and became the Vice President in charge of estimating. In 2005 George went to work for Walbridge, and now holds the position of Director of Technical, estimating and overseeing the work of all mechanical and electrical estimators. Walbridge is a billion dollar a year plus general contractor that consistently ranks in the top 50 general contractors in the country. George is a Certified in Plumbing Designer, CPD, in addition to holding a State of Michigan Master Plumbers License, Mechanical Contractors License and an Unlimited Boiler Installers License. He is also an active member of ASHRAE and ASPE. CLASSES Classes are open to anyone interested—you do not need to be a member to attend classes. There is no charge to attend classes. Registration is required. SEE reverse side for registration information. DINNER A hot catered dinner is available at a cost of $18 per person to non ASPE, ASSE and MBPA members. Cash (at the door) or checks made payable to ASPE-EMC are accepted. We ask that you please notify us when you register for class if you plan to eat dinner. Dinner begins at 5:30 PM. CPD CLASS: Get introduced to the latest technologies. Classes run from 4:00 - 5:30 pm. Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) The Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) program is an international certification program for engineers and designers of plumbing systems. Completion of the CPD program and examination confers upon the successful candidate the designation Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD). The certification program provides the profession, the plumbing industry, and the general public with a single, comprehensive qualification of professional competence for engineers and designers of plumbing systems. The CPD, which is the only international credential program in the plumbing engineering field, sets the standards for leadership within the industry and provides formal recognition of outstanding professionals with advanced skills in the design and specification of plumbing systems. To prepare for the CPD exam, look for CPD prep classes to be held on the following dates: October 18, 2011 and December 13, 2011 at 4:00 PM.
