Bunton Buwaywa!

A government-recognized secondary education program for the eight (8) Mangyan tribes in Mindoro. It uses a curriculum and program relevant to the needs, realities and culture of the people.

Impact TUGDAAN experiences on IP Education has inspired many groups and educators in discovering opportunities to implement the same program in their own schools and contexts. TUGDAAN has become a model on IP Education for public and private schools. Many of the TUGDAAN graduates are now serving in various IP communities both within and outside of Mindoro. The drop-out rates has tremendously lessened for the past three (3) years. More organizations are interested of partnering/ supporting TUGDAAN and its various programs and projects.
