PlanningTeam● Membership of Planning team must be
carefully chosen.● Stakeholder groups involved should include:

ProcessDescription
● Current assessment of technology.● Work with in realistic budget
forecasts.● Structure how each of the following
components will be improved:○ Equipment.○ Technology integration.○ Staff development.○ Community involvement.
Vision Statement● Recognize the ultimate goal is
to improve student learning.● Must equip students with skills
needed for the 21st century.● All students and staff must
have access to technology.● Learning in all academic areas
must be addressed.
Goals/ObjectivesEquipment Needs-● What is currently
inventoried?● What are the projected
purchases? ● What are the expected
maintenance costs?● Where are new acquisitions
allocated?
Goals/ObjectivesTechnology Integration-● School wide infusion of
technology needed.● State and national technology
standards must be addressed.● Technical training for new
technologies.
Goals/ObjectivesStaff Development-● Site based training for
technology infusion.● Understand how technology
can improve other educational objectives (literacy, math, science, research, arts, life skills, etc.).
● Thorough and ongoing training for all staff members.
Goals/ObjectivesCommunity Involvement- ● Keep parents informed.● Utilize attendance, grades,
and course objective information to get families invested in the educational process.
● Civic and business involvement.
NeedsAssessment
● Survey the staff about technology.● Use inventory to determine what
every class room must look like to support Vision statement.
● Review administrative policies, curricular planning practices, and networking capabilities.
● Determine what technologies need replacement.
● Conduct ongoing formative assessment of staff to ensure the deliberate infusion of technology to support learning.
StaffDevelopment
● Training calendar established.● Professional development based on
research based methodologies.● Outside experts and in-house experts
used to frequently train staff.● Formal and informal training sessions
established.● Web based storehouse of technology
integration suggestions.● Encourage PLNs.● Staff wide training in most, if not all,
technologies.
Evaluation● Planning team designates
responsible parties for purchases, installation, use and effectiveness.
● Staff will be categorized on a scale of "technology integration." Comparisons made midway in plan cycle.
● Late term purchases will be re-evaluated for cost effectiveness and usage.
Time Line● Planning team will decide on
purchasing options, installation time frame and upkeep.
● Assist in developing learning objectives.
● Publish staff development calendar.
● Set midpoint evaluation dates for formative assessment of progress toward vision statement for school.
